Darkest Hour

The rest of the group outside were waiting for Anne and Hop Pop to arrive outside, hoping that they were ok, after a while, the elevator door opened, but only Anne was there. "Anne!! W-where's Hop Pop?" Asked Sprig. Anne had this face of sadness on her, she was crying before finally saying "...I-I'm sorry. He didn't make it.... He gave his own life just for me to escape... a-and now Darcy knows where the last gem is. I- I couldn't save him, I couldn't... He died right in front of me at the hands of Darcy and I was powerless." She walked out of the elevator and fell to her knees, as for Sprig, he refused to believe it. He said "No no no NO NO NO!! HE CAN'T BE DEAD! MR. PRESIDENT! TAKE ME BACK DOWN THERE NOW!" And the President replied "o-ok..." He opened the elevator and a crying Sprig ran inside. They both went back down into the prison vault. Polly looked at Anne and said "YOU'RE NOT SERIOUS NOW ARE YOU?!! HE WAS MY GRANDFATHER! IS HE ACTUALLY DEAD?!! NO! HE CAN'T BE!!" Anne looked at her and said "I'm so, so sorry. I couldn't save him, he just gave up his own life to save mine." Polly who was angry and upset shouted "NO!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!! HE CAN'T BE-" But then, the elevator door opened again, and the President and Sprig were standing there, the President was holding Hop Pop's dead body, and Sprig was standing next to him with a shocked expression, tears were coming out of his eyes. The President brought Hop Pop's body out and laid him onto the ground. Polly approached his body. And then, the President put his hand over Hop Pop's eyelids and closed them, he really was dead. Both Polly and Sprig fell to their knees and cried in anguish. Polly screamed in anger and sadness. Sasha walked over to Polly to comfort her as she cried over Hop Pop's body, and Ivy went to comfort her boyfriend Sprig, then suddenly, Olivia and Yunan entered the room and Olivia said "We came as fast as we could! What happened-" They then saw that Hop Pop was dead, the President looked at them and said "What happened was, Darcy broke out, two children just lost their grandfather, and now Darcy knows where the gem is and is most likely already on their way to get it." Anne ran to her parents to hug them as she continued crying and kept saying "I couldn't save him! I couldn't fucking save him!! I have godlike powers and yet I still couldn't FUCKING SAVE HIM!!"

Polly finally stopped crying and looked at Marcy and said "Damn you! Look at what you fucking did! YOU LET DARCY LOOSE! AND LOOK AT WHAT RESULTED IN THAT!!! HOP POP IS DEAD BECAUSE OF YOU!!!" When Marcy heard that, she was hit with the same guilt she's had for the past 3 years, she looked around at her friends, seeing how her actions have impacted them now, she looked at the dead body of Hop Pop, and to make matters worse, Darcy knew where the last gem is now and is about to get it, all because of her, Hop Pop is dead because of her, her friends are now suffering because of her, Darcy is about to get the last gem which means now the whole world is doomed because of her. She's doomed the entire planet just because of another choice she made out of selfishness, her desire to break free from the trauma of the past has now just put the whole world in danger, and got somebody important killed. It was all her fault. Just like before where she opened the calamity box and sent herself and her friends to Amphibia. No matter what she does, people get hurt because of her, she then saw herself as a monster to mankind. She fell to her knees and cried, she then said to herself "I'm just a selfish bastard who brings nothing but pain onto others..." Sasha looked at her and asked "What?" And Marcy said "I said I'm just a selfish bastard who brings nothing but pain onto others!!" And then Anne said to her "No Marcy that's not true!" But Marcy shouted "What more proof do you need?! Look at Hop Pop! He died because just I had to release Darcy from their cell!! And to make matters worse! I've just doomed the whole world in the process because now Darcy knows where the last gem is!! And did you not just hear what Polly said??!! She hates me now for what I've done!! That shows that no one will ever forgive me!!! I'M JUST A SELFISH BASTARD WHO CARRIES DEATH ON MY SHOULDERS!! AND THIS WORLD WOULD BE BETTER OFF WITHOUT ME!!!" And then Marcy ran outside and activated her powers and flew into the air. Anne ran outside and shouted "Marcy wait!!" But Marcy was already gone. Anne sighed and walked back inside. She looked at Polly and asked "You didn't just mean the things you said to Marcy did you?? But Polly didn't say anything, Sasha looked at Anne and said "Just give her some alone time, I'm sure she didn't mean it. As for Sprig, he was still screaming and crying over Hop Pop's body, he sat there in sadness as Ivy tried to calm him down. But Sprig then said "Just- just leave me alone..." Ivy nodded and walked away. Yunan then asked the President "So what do we do now?" And the President responded "Well, first things first, we need to call Mr. X and Dr. Terri instantly, we sent them to keep the gem safe in the vault."
meanwhile at the vault where the gem was, Dr. Terri was looking at the security cameras, she looked at the security camera that was inside the vault that the gem was stored in, but then unexpectedly, a portal opened inside it. Dr. Terri saw it and freaked out, she shouted "MR. X! SOMEONE'S BREAKING INTO THE VAULT!" And Mr. X shouted "Wait WHAT?!" They both ran to the vault room and opened it, they saw the portal behind the calamity gem, then Darcy stepped out of it. They saw the gem sitting there inside a glass container and said "There you are!" They smashed open the glass container. Then Mr. X's phone rang and the President called him, he said "Mr. X! Darcy knows where the last gem is! You need to keep the gem safe before they can get it!" But Mr. X responded "Uh, bad news sir, but they might already have it." He and Dr. Terri watched as Darcy grabbed the gem and looked at them, they then said "So begins the conquest!" They walked back through the portal with the gem as it closed. Mr. X said on the phone "Darcy got away with the gem sir, we're too late." The President hung up and said "Shit!!" Mr. Boonchuy asked "Well this can't get any worse. Now what?!" And then the President said "Well first of all we need to alert the military about this immediately." Then Anne said "You guys do that, I'm gonna go after Marcy, I need to help her, her mental state was already unstable at first but now I'm really worried about her! Sasha, I'll call you if I need your help alright? I'll see you all later." She ran outside and blasted into the sky. Sprig finally stood up and said "I want to bury him, but I want to do it in Amphibia, that was his home... so I'm burying him there." Yunan walked over to him and said "We'll do that once all of this is over ok?" Sprig nodded and wiped his tears away. Yunan then picked up Hop Pop's body and carried it away.
Meanwhile, Marcy finally returned to her house, she entered the bathroom and leaned against the sink, she looked at herself in the mirror, but then, she suddenly started to hallucinate again. And she saw something horrible, a vision of dark things to come, she saw the three calamity gems with the dark energy injected into them now attached to the calamity box, then, the calamity box finished charging as it opened up, doing so caused it to release a massive global orange shockwave that spread all across the entire planet, destroying everything in it's path, completely scorching the entire planet with fire. All who lived would be enslaved by Darcy. Then she saw something worse, she saw Anne who was now dead, being burned at a funeral, Olivia and Yunan who are now prisoners of Darcy watch in sadness, while Darcy watches with satisfaction as Anne's body burns. Then the vision changes, and then Marcy sees Sasha and Darcy fighting, but then, Darcy decapitates Sasha and kills her. Darcy laughs sinisterly at this victory. Marcy is crying from what she is seeing, but then the vision changes again, where she then sees herself sitting there, she's looking at Anne's burnt skeleton, and Sasha's decapitated corpse. She is crying, but then, Darcy walks over to her, they are holding their scythe and are going to kill Marcy, but before they do, they put their hand on Marcy's shoulder, allowing the feeling of guilt to sink into Marcy, as she stops crying and makes a face of guilt and feeling worthless, knowing that all this wouldn't have happened if she didn't free Darcy out of a desire to be set free, in fact, none of everything that has happened would have ever happened at all if she hadn't been so selfish and opened that calamity box. Earth would have been fine, but no, now, all of this is her fault. And then, Darcy kills her. Then, the vision changes, and Marcy sees the skulls of her friends Anne and Sasha, along with her own skull sitting there, and Darcy is levitating above them. But what's worse is that Darcy has taken all three calamity powers from the girls after they killed them, and fused the powers with themself, sparks of blue, magenta, and green lighting were emitting from them, Darcy was no the most powerful being in the multiverse and could now take over any world that they wanted too. No one could stop them now. And then, the vision ended. And Marcy screamed after what she just saw. The whole world was going to die, all because of her. That was it, this was the final straw, Marcy was finally done, she decided it was finally time to end it all....
