Nagbuntong-hininga ang batang lalaki at inirapan siya, malamang ay nawiwirduhan ito sa reaksyon niya, "Which way to the Abyss?" Wala sa loob nitong tanong.

She frowned and stuttered, "Ba-bakit?"

"Because I'll go the opposite direction." Mabilis na tugon nito.

Ganoon na lamang siya umatras, pinagmamasdan lamang siya ng lalaking may dalang espada, hindi niya mabasa ang reaksyon nito dahil nakasuot ito ng maskara. Gayunpaman ay minabuti niyang suriin ang taong nasa harapan niya. Finally, she found a human, but it doesn't feel right. Being with a human like her doesn't feel right, meters away from her tracks is the Abyss. And humans from Eufrata are forbidden in the Abyss. If she's not mistaken, the boy in front of her is a citizen of Eufrata lost beyond the borders.

Damien. She tried reading the very small weave on his collar. It was so small, and it's astonishing how she was able to read it. What is happening to her again? Bakit nababasa niya na ang napakaliit na burdang iyon? She put her uncanny thoughts about herself down because of the situation and focused on the boy in front of her.

Celestial swallows hard, realizing how powerful was the person in front of her, she steps back; "Sino ka? Ano'ng ginagawa mo dito? Bakit ka napunta dito?"

If only she can see his face, there would not be a problem. Pwede niyang isumbong ang lalaki kay Almira ngunit hindi niya nga mahulaan kung kaaya-aya ba ang mukha nito sa likod ng maskara o hindi. She also have this doubt that maybe he's also grotesque like the other abyssinians. If only she could see him, his face. Damn, she wants to see his face so bad.

The boy just shrugged and claimed the distance between them crapping the hell out of her. Mukhang nag-eenjoy ito sa kaniyang reaksyon. Ipinapakita niya kasing natatakot siya, natutuwa tuloy ito. Ganito ba ang mga tao? Mapang-asar?

Of course she would step back, he's holding a sword while she doesn't have any kinds of weapon to protect herself neither a charm or magic to defend herself from the boy. While he's holding a two edged sharp sword, looking astonishing and skilled in combat. Truly, she doesn't have any chance to win over him.

"Saan ang Abyss?" Sa halip ay tanong nito.

Marahan naman iyong itinuro ni Celestial ang daan patungo sa Abyss. Drown by purity and innocence, she just thought nothing about the boy but a human just like her, lost in the woods. Siguro'y maswerte pa siya dahil alam niya ang daan pabalik sa Abyss. Iyon na lamang ang inisip niya, sa tingin niya'y pareho sila ng edad, parehong bata at nagtitiwala siyang walang gagawing masama ang lalaki sa kaniya.

"Dito."

The little boy shrugged, "Then I'll go here." Saad nito at pumunta palayo sa Abyss.

Damien. She calls him on her mind when he moved his tracks opposite to her. The little boy, who's Damien, a young echelon from Eufrata turned his back on her and walked away. Bigla ay nalukot ang mukha ni Celestial. She's really eager to talk with humans, or at least someone.

"Who are you?" She asked before he could disappear from her sight even though she already read his name weaved on his collar, "Where are you from?"

The little boy glanced over his shoulder, secretly glaring daggers at her and measuring her possible dangerous movements, "I am training to be a hunter, and I am lost." He told the truth.

Lingid sa kaalaman ni Celestial na hindi na maganda ang tumatakbo sa utak ng batang lalaki. Damien glared daggers on her while playing something in his mind, well, it's what he should be doing by now though. At least, he did nothing bad to her before taking her to his friends.

With a clandestine scheme, he began; "Thanks for the direction, goddess." He said with a playful smirk on his face.

She really looks like a goddess though, and she's really familiar to him. Damien is not sure either, but it feels like meeting her isn't new at all.

"Goddess," Pag-uulit pa ni Damien nang mapansin ang kakaibang reaksyon ni Celestial. He's advancing, just few steps and he's done.

W-what?

Celestial was suddenly confused and flustered, "G-goddess?"

How did he know? Well, she's not totally a goddess. Bansag lang iyon sa kaniya ngunit paano nito nalaman? Is Damien gifted or peculiar too? What's his peculiarity? She suddenly wants to know more of him with rapt attention.

"Oh, are you not the goddess of this wilds?" Damien stopped on his tracks and finally faced her, "Magpapahatid pa sana ako hanggang sa labasan, baka mawala ulit ako 'eh."

"Eh-" Nalilitong sagot ni Celestial.

Damien stepped forward, advancing both of his scheme and distance, "Pretty please, goddesses helps lost people. Help me, please." Pakiusap nito na nagpalambot sa puso ng inosenteng batang babae.

How could someone be this innocent? Damien thought.

And as the time scampered again, the innocent damsel sigh and spill something that triggers the playful boy.

"I-Ihahatid kita." Nagdadalawang isip na saad ni Celestial. Wala naman sigurong masama kung magmalasakit siya sa taong nawawala sa kanilang teritoryo, hindi ba? Mabuti na lang siya at taga Abyss, alam niya ang daan. Paano na lang kung siya ang nawala sa Eufrata--paano nga ba? Would he help her?

It's too late to back out now. Damien pounced to Celestial's direction. Celestial lead the way out of the Abyss, her heart beating and thumping loud, as if something's not right. Everything feels wrong, as in everything.

Nanatiling tahimik si Damien at sumunod lamang kay Celestial. Huminto ang batang babae matapos ang ilang metro, pagkatapos ay hinarap ang batang lalaki.

"Hanggang dito nalang ako." Wika ni Celestial.

Damien furrowed, "What? I mean, I still do not know where is the right path to the...uhm, to where, what the fvck?" Pati ito'y naguluhan na rin sa lokasyon maging sa sasabihin.

"Maiiwan na ako. Papanuorin kita, walang aatake sa'yo dito." Paniniguro ni Celestial at matigas na tumayo sa kaniyang lugar.

"Wait," Damien said, "Looks like my friends are waving over there. Do you want to meet them? They want to meet you."

Both of them looked at the moving leaves and trees. Someone's walking over that place, a human! Celestial is sure of it, there is a or are humans around aside from Damien.

Beyond curiosity, purity, and innocence, she respond.
