The next day-

Y/n jumped out of bed as soon as her alarm went off. She practically speed ran her morning routine, from braiding her hair to eating, to brushing her teeth as quickly as possible. She realized she had an entire forty minutes until school officially started when she was finished. She ran back upstairs and into her room, and as she was running back, she nearly ran into her mom.

"Oh-! Sorry, mom." Y/n said, trying to get past her and back downstairs. "Hey, where are you going in such a hurry? You have over half an hour till school starts." She said, placing a hand on her daughter's shoulder. "Oh, I didn't tell you? Today, our history class is going to the Smp Museum!"

Y/ns mother smiled. "Isn't that the place that you have been begging me to take you to?" Y/n nodded. Her mother's smile grew. "Oh, run along then. Make sure to take some pictures for me!" Y/n smiled and nodded again, taking down the stairs. She grabbed her backpack and phone, and her nerdy history journal, which she stuffed into the backpack.

She made sure to feed her German shepherd and kiss him goodbye before leaving the house, with twenty-five minutes till school started. She started walking towards the bus stop. As she did, she passed her friend, Elly's house. She was sick with something as she told her last night.

It was kind of a bummer, but Y/n knew she would be fine. She arrived and sat down on the bench, checking her watch. Fifteen minutes till school starts. She sighed, seeing the bus was late again. She waited, and as she did, more people arrived for the bus. When the bus did arrive, there were ten minutes till the bell rang, giving her what looked like three to four minutes to be on time.

Y/n got on the bus, and so did everyone else. A few people tried to make conversation with her, but she blew them off, saying stupid excuses like, "I'm texting my grandma," or, "I need to finish that essay that was due!" In reality, she was thinking over the field trip and how it would go.

The bus stopped at the school, leaving her with five minutes to hurry and get to her class. She nearly sprinted to her locker, hearing the warning bell ring. She shoved her books in and brought her backpack with her to class. She almost tripped multiple times which she thankfully recovered from quickly.

She bolted to her seat just as the bell rang. She let out a sigh of relief, watching intently as the teacher walked in. "Now, you all have heard of the trips each period is going on today. Second period to the Smp Museum, third period to Pandora's Vault, fifth period to the Manberg Gallery, and sixth period to Pogtopia Plaza."

Everyone seemed to already know what she was talking about, so she continued. "If you are in the second period, your teacher will be Mrs. Pembroke, accompanied by a transfer student who is viewing our school. He is going to be considered a chaperone, so please listen to him as you would for Mrs. Pembroke. Now, for the third period..."

The teacher's words seem to fade as Y/n zoned out, thinking of this mysterious kid. Her thoughts were interrupted by the opening of the door to the classroom. She turned towards the door, to see her principal walking in and to the front of the room.

"Now, If you are in second-period history, please follow me. We are leaving for the Smp Museum now," she said motioning for the kids to move out of the door. Y/n and a few other students made their way out of the door and into the parking lot where she assumed they were waiting for a bus to arrive.

She waited near the doors with the other students as a few more kids appeared. A few other kids came to join them and they continued to wait. Mrs. Pembroke and the mystery kid still haven't arrived yet, which was rather annoying. The principal came back leading the last of the kids towards the door and said, "I am going to get your teachers. If you would please wait, that could be nice."

She disappeared back down the hallway, a few kids rolling their eyes in annoyance. Y/n pulled out her phone and started to text her mom.

Y/n- I'm waiting to get on the bus!

Mom <3- *Typing*

Mom<3- I hope you have an amazing day Hunny!

Y/n- Love you, mom.

Mom<3- Love you too.

Y/n slipped her phone back into her pocket and waited. She stared at the wall for a while before getting bored. As she was about to go complaint to her principal, the principal, and her teacher came walking down the hall. Mrs. Pembroke had a small backpack on, and was holding her clipboard, which Y/n assumed was for attendance.

She stood in the middle of the hallway and started calling out names.

"Myra?" She asked.

"Here."

"Ace?"

"Here."

"Blue?"

"Here!"

"Y/n?"

"Yes-? Oh! Here!" She said embarrassed, as she wasn't paying attention.

The teacher soon after finished attendance and they all headed for the bus in the parking lot. Y/n was the last one on, and she sat down near the front. She had an open space next to her if anyone wanted to sit next to her. She waited for a minute before raising her hand.  Mrs. Pembroke came up to her. "What is it?" She asked.

"Oh, I was just wondering when we were leaving," Y/n stated. "We are just waiting on the exchange student. He should be here in a few minutes." She walked away to go answer another student's question. 'So the mystery student is a boy, huh?' She thought. She waited another minute or so staring out of the window before feeling someone tap her shoulder.

"Is this seat taken?" The voice was male, and she turned to look at who its owner was. He had chocolate brown curls with un normally large glasses perched on top of his head. He had multiple watches on each of his arms, which looked funny, yet cute at the same time. "No, Its not. You are welcome to sit there if you would like." Y/n said.

"Thanks!" The boy said with a smile. At the same time, the bus started up and began to move. "Wait... Are you the transfer student?" Y/n asked with curiosity. The boy nodded his head, going back to digging in his bag for something.

"I'm Y/n L/n. Whats your name?" She asked, giving his a warm smile. He smiled back and put down his bag. "Nice to meet you Y/n! My name is Karl Jacobs!"
