"I can't believe I'm still going to school even though I have no friends in my classes." Rin muttered as he walked down a hallway in his middle school.
"Hurry up, Takemichi!" A voice said from down the hall.
That name sounds familiar. Rin stated curiously in his mind.
"Valhalla's hideout? Bring it on." Another voice replied.
"Is that the kid that got beat up at the delinquent meeting?" Rin yelled out loud — of course, not on purpose.
The two voices from down the hall turned towards the new appearance with confusion written all over their faces.
Running down the hall, Rin allowed a huge grin to spread across his face. "You're going to Valhalla's hideout? Lemme join!"
"Ah- ah- it's you!" Takemitchi exclaimed. "You were beside Kisaki during the meeting!"
"Oh yeah, he dragged me along for some reason. Still don't know why."
Looking towards the other boy standing next to Takemitchi, Rin shoved his hand in front of the boy for a hand shake.
"I'm Rin."
Shaking Rin's hand, the boy introduced himself with a sly smile. "I'm Kazutora. And, since you were also at the meeting, you can come with us to Valhalla's hideout."
"Thanks! I'll try not to cause any problems."

"Look, we're almost there." Kazutora said, pointing down a sketchy alleyway.
"Huh. Is this the place?" Takemichi questioned as he stared at an abandoned building. "An arcade?"
"Closed down a long time ago, though."
The Headless Angel...Rin thought to himself as he stared at graffiti artwork of a headless angel with a halo above it.
Walking inside the rundown building, the three teens passed by delinquents smoking, talking, and a few staring at the newcomers. The three continued walking forwards, stopping in front of someone beating up another guy.
"Kazutora...what is going on here?" Takemitchi questioned nervously.
"What do you mean? It's a test of faith." Kazutora replied. "Of Baji's belief in our group. Leaving Toman to join Valhalla is like switching religions. So, he needs to show us he is ready."
"Damn...the same guy who beat Takemitchi up at the Toman meeting is also beating this rando? He seems like a fun lad." Rin mumbled under his breath.
"The guy Baji's beating up is Toman's first division vice-captain." Kazutora informed. "Baji's most trusted retainer. If he's betraying his old 'god' Mikey then he's got to curb-stomp his old beliefs."
He's beating one of his followers half to death? Takemitchi thought to himself, mouth agape in shock.
"Well, is this good enough for you, Hanma?" Baji sneered. "For my invitation into Valhalla?"
Only smirking at Baji, Hanma called for Kazutora, asking if he is ready for who knows what.
"Yep, this guy is Takemitchi Hanagaki, Toman's newest member." Kazutora stated as he nodded to Takemitchi. "And this is Rin. He was at the meeting as well."
"Pretty boy!" Hanma exclaimed excitedly. "Who knew we would meet again this early!"
