In Darjeeling, a small boy lived whose name was Vrikshavandhan. His grandparents had passed away and he lived with his mother, Yunal and his father, Mrinal. Yunal and Mrinal had admitted Vrikshavandhan to a school. Vrikshavandhan was a long name, so his friends called him Vriksh which meant tree. Vriksh enjoyed playing with his friends and sharing tiffins with each other. As Vriksh grew up, he gradually became very naughty. He played ghost tricks at night on his parents and had fun. Sometimes he would to the kitchen and intentionally break a glass. A loud noise would come from Vriksh's parents room. He would quickly go to his room and put the blanket on his face. Yunal and Mrinal would always suspect Vriksh to do it but when they open Vriksh's room's door, they would always see Vriksh sleeping. The time would be always 2 o' clock at night when these prank tricks would take place eventually. Everyday, Vriksh played some or the other trick on his parents to scare them. In school, he was also famous by the name ' THE PRANKSTER MASTER'. He had an attitude like a boss and he seemed to be the ruler of his class. Everyone, excluding the teachers, obeyed his every single instruction. The teachers were also fed up of Vriksh's prank tricks and therefore complained it to his parents. Mrinal was very unhappy and disappointed about it. When Vriksh came home, Mrinal scolded him very much. Mrinal was very angry because Vriksh betrayed him...he gave so much money to educate his son but Vriksh learnt to play tricks. However, it just did not matter to Vriksh. He listened to the scolding and took it out from his other ear. One night, when Vriksh was ready to play another mean trick, he suddenly saw the fan had stopped...maybe the current has gone, but no, he could hear the fan working in his parents' room. Vriksh switched the fan off and the fan started. ' WHAT WAS HAPPENING?' This was very unusual. Then when he again went to sleep, he felt someone beside him. He sat up...it was a very uncomfortable night for Vriksh...why was he experiencing these things? Has God given him a curse? He heard someone breaking a glass. These were all the tricks HE used to play on his parents...was it really backfiring him? Morning came and he refused to go to school that day . He explained the unusual happenings of previous night but his mother didn't believe him. Vriksh's eyes splashed with hatred...his eyes were red as a chilli and it seemed as it was burning like an angry fire. ' Ok ok ok...calm down Vriksh...we didn't heard anything like that...so if by chance you heard it, then the best solution would be meditation'. ' YOU KNOW MOM, I DON'T BELIVE IN GODS AND HATE MEDITATION!!' Replied angry Vriksh.  'Ok then it's your problem...I have told you the solution ...now it's up to you!! Don't always come and bark at me !! You always interupt in my work. Come on go to your room... let me do my work!!' Vriksh went out of the room, muttering something rude which his mother couldn't understand. Vriksh could not do anything else rather than working on the solution...so he started doing meditation every single day. When he meditated he noticed that his mind calmed down and always thought of positive things. He could connect with God and talk. He would expose his difficulties to god so that his mind would be free from those thoughts. Whenever Mrinal went to his office in the morning he saw his son meditating....'What has happened to him? He is looking quite a changed one...thank god anyway ...he is in control' Mrinal said . After doing meditation every single morning Vriksh did not think of mean tricks anymore...he apologized to God for all the prank tricks he played on his parents. He was a matured man. He started to get good marks in his report cards and his parents would celebrate it. Once, Vriksh remembered the terrible scary night...and remembering it he thought to do meditation at night. So at midnight he started meditation and as Vriksh expected, the negative energies came and started to disturb him. ' THE PRANKSTER MASTER', ' I'M THE EMPEROR', ' I'M THE BOSS OF THE CLASS' said the energies. Vriksh remembered those things which HE only said when he was full of ego and was very immature. The energies irritated and disturbed him so much that it was difficult for Vriksh to meditate. When he could not take it anymore, he scolded the energies very much. He was starting to be the angriest form of Shiva. The world was starting to shake and the wild animals and birds flew off to their forests. Then Vriksh said a powerful mantra so that the energies could live in peace in heaven. The next morning Vriksh saw scratches on his door. Using his brain, Vriksh understood that the negative energies thanked him. The energies lived in peace atlast. Vriksh very well knew that his powerful mantra would have effect and it did so. He was famous in school but this time by the name, 'THE MATURED MAN'. The teachers were proud of him. So dear readers, as you could understand from this short story of mine, that you should meditate every day. Meditation always keeps your mind cool, fresh and active. Your mind also thinks of positive things. Remember, meditation would always help you...it is very important and useful fot people.
