Katuski

Completely intertwined with the darkness behind my eyes, it's seems almost peaceful. That is until the faint annoyance comes to ring through the darkness, but with a groan I dismiss the darkness opening my eyes. The annoyance of the alarm coming more of a headache. I had always been this annoyed with it, but ever since that damn nerd Deku went missing- it's only become more of a god damn annoyance.

Though as I make it up, the silencesettles as soon as the button to the alarm dismissed the blares it once had. Though what replaced the blaring alarm was just more racing thoughts. But most were tuned out after I had made my way to the living room to scroll on my phone and listen emptily to the news. It hadn't truly surprised me with what was going, just more villain attacks and economic shit. 'What a pain.'

Still not looking away from my phone, I mindlessly grab the tea that was formerly made before sitting. I pull it close to my face and drink the still hot tea. Bzzt bzzt. Tapping on the notification from eye bags, a groan was released.

Eye Bags: Join me on a mission, you won't regret.

But before I could deny the request, he text again. Swear this man knows too much thanks to shitty hair and dunce face. But it only makes sense, dunce face is committed to him and friends with shitty hair. Though I admit I have distanced since rising the ranks.

Eye Bags: You're already on the list. I'll send Kirisihima in after your spiky Pomeranian-ness.

Shitty hair: Come on Bakubro!

Me: Fine- ugh, just shut up and give me five damn minutes.

Another groan escaped as I set down the cup and stood up to go change into my hero suit. Hadn't taken long to get to the room and change into it. Though as I was slipping on the finishing touches, I heard a knock. Though with not yet being ready I just decided to stay silent, knowing Kirishima had already had a key. As the silence pursued, they had let themselves in with distant murmurs from both of them. "What do you want shitty hair?"

He appeared in the doorway as I layed my mask on, tying it towards the back. "Hey bro, you ready?" I gave him a glare, though he knew what it had meant. "No arm grenades are needed from what I heard from Shinsou." He smiled like the positive idiot he was, which caused a shake of the head. Though he came up to me, less than a foot away to put his hands on the shirt collar to fix it. I pushed him gently to head on out, making sure to offer coffee or tea to the two as we head out. Only Shinsou taking the offer with coffee.

"You dipshits still haven't informed me on what this damn mission is-" I stared into the abyss of the cup as I sat down to hear them out. The news still blaring in the background, not really alluring my attention.

It was eyebags who had spoken up having a dull tone, going between staring into his cup and giving me glances. "Well all of us have patrol, though we also have to tail one of the members from the League. They've been quiet lately which is worrying a lot of the underground hero's. So we'll be assigned to the area they've been more so spoted." Right before I could ask as to what it does with me, he had spoken once again as if he knew what I was gonna say. "The reason you were on it, was just due to the safety in numbers. And I was told by a friend to pass a message to only you. So I view this as a success on both parts of why we came to grab you."

I sighed and set down the now empty cup, and spoke. "Guess I have nothing else to do. Who're we tailing?" Grabbing the cup I move over to kitchen, while they stayed within their spots. Setting it down, I move over back to the living room but not sitting, purely waiting for them to get up.

Shitty hair had taken the stance to speak, "apparently it's a league member who had been recruited by the UA traitor in our school years, so not truly a new member. Though he's been causing some trouble down in the outer neighborhoods. We have reason to believe he's got a link to the deku situation as well." I glared at him, I hated when others brought up the dumb nerd. Though with the glare given he half smiled and looked down at his fidgeting hands. Though his expression just made me sigh and open the door to herd all of us out. I needed a good fucking drink after this.

We had finally arrived towards our sector, though not really spotting anything interesting. Just a normal middle class neighborhood, nothing all too worrisome. That was till a scream blared through the streets, with the sounds of disaster and shock. Rushing over, we had seen a dark haired man with staples having blown the blue flames around to keep the pedestrians away. Readying our stances and quirks, we had lunged forward, my lunge being interrupted by the blond girl who had been dressed in a school uniform. As my own personal battle with her had perused, I looked to the side of me and seen Shitty Hair wiped out being dragged through the purple cloud looking thing. All too many scratches across him already. Fuck. I use a full powered explosion towards the blonde girl in front of me, blowing the both us back. Though I had the push, it had been too late to grab him. The cloud transporting to the others after me missing him by barely an inch.

I ran after them, feeling my anger flare, though only stopping. Soon with a hand on my shoulder from the purple haired freak. Though with a low tone he spoke to where only I could hear, the sirens being what everyone could hear. "Come on Bakugo, let's go give our statement. We'll find him soon. Drinks on me." All I could manage was a nod before following him mindlessly.

Before I knew it, we had ended up at a local bar, which hadn't been all too crowded. They had let us off easily for this shift, especially not letting me back to patrol until I was needed or wanting to go. Though with today's events, I don't know if I could go back. I knew I would, but still.

I had drank in silence with Shinsou, not really trading a word between us. Though he had suddenly after a few hours, checking his phone in which I presumed was Dunce Face texting him. I watched his movements as he spoke, "need a ride? Denki is here." I shook my head, I hadn't been ready to explain that to dunce face. Had I been that weak and that much of a failure, letting deku and Kirishima get kidnapped and most likely die. So god damn weak.

"By the way, Kirishima is alive." He added before leaving. My head snapped, with sadness and confusion in how he knew, but he had left before I could ask anything. I got up and ran to the door, already having missed him. How in the hell did he know? Where was Kirishima? This a had been so much more than a turn of tables, but a turn of beliefs.
