Archer POV:

'Finally ready to talk?' A tall vampire says walking into my medieval looking cell. I stare down at the ground avoiding eye contact. 'Words.'

'I have already told you, When will you get it into your thick skull?' I spit out coldly. I hear him chuckle.

'One more time and if we are lucky I may or may not take the hint,' He kneels down in front of me. 'But that is unlikely and I would have to kill you.' I glance up at him, my jaw clenched.

I had been stuck here for what felt like decades. I lost track on the sixth month of me being here. Every day since I got here has been worse then hell but I try not to give them the satisfaction of knowing that. They have been looking for Adelyn. And I was not giving them any info whatsoever even after each beating I took.

Now they were looking for Beatrice too. I have no idea where either of them are and yet these vampires won't give up on interrogating me and Wesley too but I haven't seen him in a while. I have however heard him and from what I know, he hasn't given them any information to go off on.

'I am not telling you shit,' I say. That became a practised line everyday for me now. 'Even if I knew anything, my mouth is locked shut,'

'So what you are saying is you would rather die?' I don't answer, instead I stare deep into his none existent soul. 'I could so easily kill you, but you already know that, Tell me Archer,' He kneels closer to me so I could smell his awful breath stench against my face. 'Would you die for her?'

He burst into a god awful fit of laughter. Standing up now, he glares at my bloody face. I squeeze my eyes shut already knowing what is about to happen. His laughter stops and everything was silent. I steadied my breathing and braced myself. Just as I had suspected, his fist collided with my cheek and I forced myself not to scream as pain shot through my already bruised face. I scrambled off of my side and back to my crouching stance. I was not letting him win. Not this time.

'Tough one aren't you, how much longer will it take for you to break?' He whispers just about loud enough for me to hear. ' I am on a tight schedule so we are going to have to wrap this up meaning it is finally time to bring out the big guns,' He smiles delighted at the thought.

He walks out the room locking it up behind him. I sat in silence praying that all was good and I was going to be fine. Before long the vampire returned with a pissed off look on his face.

'Unfortunately boss won't let me chop off a finger so we are going to try something else,' He says shoving Wesley inside. He looks as bad as me I imagine, if not worse. 'Right so one of you is going to have spill now ok?  I will start by saying that if you don't spit out any amount of information between the two of you then  Adelyn will suffer as much as you when we find her and we will force you to watch helplessly,' He laughed. God why is he always laughing.

'What will she suffer?' Wesley said confidently.

The vampire seemed challenged and was glad of it, 'It can vary of slitting her throat to bleed out and get eaten by the rats, burned alive now that would be fun, beaten to death however that would be too easy, we could just get one of you guys to kill her but what we really want to change her the most, you wanna know why?' He smiles maliciously, 'She seems to be in some relation to a very special vampire who was originally born human and was Adelyn's mother put her into foster care when she found out Adelyn was born human to protect her from us, If Adelyn was turned to a vampire she would have unimaginable powers so we would be happy to have her as an ally in this time but first we need to find her.'

'What about me? Where does that leave me?' Wesley ask shakily. 'I am her brother.'

'Ahh right, I hate to break it to you Wesley but you are not,' Wesley looks defeated now.

'W-What?' He scrambles at his words. I look between the two in complete and utter shock.

'Adelyn's mother altered your files to make it look like you were, smart right? She did it to protect her. Adelyn means nothing to you so you should have no problem with giving me any information I hope.'

Wesley looks angry, lost and confused all at once and then he does the unthinkable.

'Sh-'

'Wesley don't!' I say sternly.

'Piss off Archer, Why do you care huh?' Wesley spits out at me, 'As I was saying, she is fast, smart and a strong fighter, not to mention her attitude, so what do you need to know?'

The vampire smiles. 'Strengths, weaknesses, y'know all that,'

'Wesley just shut up now!' I shout before getting a quick blow to the face.

'She has a friend named Daisy, like best friends, they are always together and she would always stick up for her back at the orphanage. Her mind works differently like she knows everything about everyone at first glance and she is like some sort of Sherlock Holmes. Oh and she is amazing at convincing people if you know what I mean?' Wesley explains. I sigh in defeat.

'I know exactly what you mean and as a reward the pair of you both get to go free.' He smiles.

'What?' I question. Is this a trick. Me and Wesley get pulled up and shoved down the hallways and to the doors to the outside world.

'Wait stop, You will just hunt us again so what kind of reward is this because you cannot guaranty our safety.' Wesley says.

'Ok fine you can have showers, a full meal and a jewel to block your sent from vampires, Happy?' The vampire rolled his eyes. And before long I was in a warm bathroom ready to get into the shower. As I did so, I felt the warm mist of water spray upon me and I sighed at the feeling of warmth.

I was soon out of the shower putting on clean clothes.

I heard knocking on my door just as I had finished getting ready and so I went out into the spare bedroom that the bathroom was linked to greeted with a full Sunday dinner. Yum. I didn't even think I just dug in. This was the first full meal I had had for a long time.

When I was done I looked in the mirror at how I looked after however many beatings I had taken and to my surprise I actually wasn't in bad shape and my cheeks were bright with only a small cut above my eyebrow and a bruise under my eye. My hair was curly as usual and I guess I heal faster then I anticipated. All in all, I wanted to say I looked like a badass and to be honest I almost smiled. I wore grey joggers and a white shirt and before long I was given a chain with a crucifix as a charm. This was my protection against vampires? Did not look it at all but I guess it isn't supposed to anyway.

I met up with Wesley at the door to the castle and shot him an evil glare his way in which he looked down at his trainers.

We were far from the castle when he spoke finally, 'I am sorry, I didn't realise this would ruin our friendship or anything and if I am being real, I definitely did not see you not saying anything about Adelyn for so long, I didn't know you cared so much.'

'I don't know why I hadn't said anything.' I lied.

'Shall we find them?' He asks.

'Who, Addy?' I ask.

'Adelyn, Daisy and who knows maybe some old friends along the way too,' Wesley says.

I smile, 'What are we waiting for? Let's find them.'
