Chapter 15

Magni P.O.V

When I passed through the portal I found myself underground. As I continued down the hallway I heard the sounds of voices and fighting. I flew through the corridor until I reached the entrance to a large room. Inside I saw Superman standing over a kneeling and beaten Kara , (Injustice) Cyborg lay unconscious nearby.

Kara: Please Kal ... don't do this.

Injustice Superman: It's your fault Kara , you didn't join me and now I have no choice..

Magni: Get your hands off her !

He looks at me.

Kara: I'm .... glad... that you're here...

She said in a weak voice.

Injustice Superman: Where's Black Adam ?

Magni: He's taking a nap..

I said with a smirk.

Injustice Superman: You beat him ? I'm impressed , but even that won't save you from me.

He flew at me at high speed trying to land a right hook which I ducked and retaliated with a Mjolnir. I landed a quick succession of punches but he dodged several of them and then grabbed me and threw me against the wall. He quickly lunged at me but I threw a hammer at him which blasted him into the wall. Before he recovered I sent several lightning bolts at him which hurt him a bit.

Injustice Superman: I hate magic.

Frustrated, he immediately charged at me and hit me in the chest with his left hook which blasted me into the wall. He quickly walked up to me and started punching me , some of the punches I couldn't block. The moment he had me pushed against the wall , I kneed him in the head which bought me some time , I summoned Mjolnir and with a strong blow to the head knocked him away from me.

Injustice Superman: It's all your fault , you had to meddle in things that didn't concern you , this is my world !

I summoned lightning energy that began to flow through my body , we ran towards each other and I landed a thunderous right hook that slammed him to the ground.

I walked up to him but he grabbed me by the neck , I wanted to get free quickly but I couldn't.

Injustice Superman: I'm tired of this , do you have any last words before you end up like Shazam?

Magni: I do, go fuck yourself!

Injustice Superman: Okay..

Before he could continue I quickly took the gold kryptonite dagger out of my pocket and stabbed it into his leg. He cried out in pain.

Injustice Superman: What... that's gold kryptonite..

Magni: I have Bruce to thank for this.

He lunged at me again but I dodged his two punches and cut him again with that dagger. He groaned in pain. I, in turn, delivered a quick succession of blows to his abdomen and hips, and cut him in several places with that dagger. Angry, he wanted to uppercut and kick me but I dodged those blows and hit him on his legs , arms and chest with the dagger. He was already bleeding from the blows he took from me , he was still trying to gather his strength for some last strike but I grounded him with a kick to his chest , I cut him one last time with the dagger on his chest and after summoning Mjolnir I knocked him out.

I quickly walked over to where Kara was lying.

Magni: Hey ... Kara, are you okay?

She slowly regained consciousness and opened her eyes.

Kara: What ... what happened ... is it over ?

Magni: Yes it is, finally.

I helped her to stand up. She looked where Kal was lying unconscious.

Magni: He's alive... I used the gold kryptonite, he's lost his powers permanently.

I quickly walked over to Cyborg , who was also slowly regaining consciousness , I helped him stand up.

Injustice Cyborg: Is it over?

Magni: It's over, Superman regime is over.

Injustice Cyborg: Collection!

(Injustice) Cyborg quickly made his way to the panel , checking to make sure Brainiac's collection was intact.

Injustice Cyborg: Ok ... the collection is fine , we interrupted him when we got here. That way we can get everyone trapped inside out.

I walked over to Kara who was standing over her cousin's body.

Kara: I was supposed to protect him, I tried to talk him out of it but he wouldn't listen to me, maybe I'm the one who failed...

I quickly hugged her and looked at her.

Magni: It wasn't your fault , he became this , don't blame yourself.

I caressed her cheek. We smiled at each other.

About half an hour passed before the others arrived.

(Injustice) Flash: Looks like we've missed a lot...

Bruce walked over to where Kal lay unconscious.

Injustice Batman: He was my friend ... The Joker was my responsibility , maybe if I'd taken care of him , it might have been different ...

I rubbed his back.

Magni: You stayed true to your values and believed that there could be another way. You have nothing to blame yourself for.

Injustice Batman: Thanks. You restored freedom to our world, the Justice League was founded to help people. I think the world will need such team again.

We shook hands.

After we left (Injustice) Superman's hideout, we returned to the Fortress of Solitude.
