Chapter 29: The Awful Duo

I sigh as I stare at my computer. Kunikida just got finished with scolding me and F/n for supposedly 'Slacking off' when we were playing with my ability.

"Hey, Dazai, B/n."

They both look at Kunikida.

"Congratulations, you both are paired up for a case."

"WHAT?!" B/n complains. "No. I refuse. I would rather eat a bar of soap than pair up with a dumbass."

"Ouch! Your words hurt, B/n!" Dazai says while acting like he's been stabbed.

"Too bad. Now go." Kunikida says while handing B/n a paper.

He sighs and leaves with Dazai.

Everyone slowly looks at me.

"What?" I say.

"On a scale of 1 to 10, what's the probability of your brother killing Dazai?" Atsushi asks.

"30." Me and Ranpo say in unison.

We look at each other and back at Atsushi.

"Well, he's doomed." Junichiro says.

"And I have to go on a job myself, see you later." Kunikida leaves the room.

Once the door closed, everyone in the agency gave each other an evil grin, including Ranpo.

" SCARY MOVIE TIME!" Me and F/n exclaim.

"What's a scary movie?" Kenji asks Ranpo.

~B/n's Pov:~
Me and Dazai made it to a house. We open the door and walk inside.

"Thank goodness!" A man says as we walk in.

"What's the situation?" Dazai asks the man.

"M-my niece!" He said, "I found her lying dead this morning!"

We walk upstairs and he opens a door to a room.

It was a bedroom, with a black haired woman dead in the closet. She was hanged.

"How did this happen?" I mumble.

"I don't know! She would never commit suicide! She was happy with her life!"

"What was her name?" Dazai asked.

"Hana."

I touch the woman's head.

"Ability: The Last Hour."

I see a hand pull a rope with the woman being hanged.

So it wasn't a suicide....

"She didn't commit suicide..." I mumbled. "Someone definitely did this."

"Any suspects yet?" Dazai asked the man.

"Well, the police have already asked some of the neighbors about any people lurking around her house..."

"Anyone she was in a relationship with?" I asked, "I didn't see their face. But I do know it was a man's hand."

"Well, there was this one man she was in love with...."

"Name?" I ask.

"Tsukio Amane."

"Where can we find him?" Dazai asked.

~Y/n's Pov:~
Naomi passed me a bag of chips as we were watching a scary movie 'Scream.' I just put on Japanese subtitles. The lights were off. We were watching it in the meeting room on the screen.

"OH, THEY JUST CRUSHED HER THROUGH A GARAGE DOOR!" Junichiro says in surprise.

"Ouch...." Atsushi mumbles while covering Kyouka's eyes.
