Here I was, standing still in line. It was crowded like everyone just sitting there waiting for food just as if this were the last food ever on the planet. After getting my food I, go back to my table where my friends are just sitting and talking. It was splendid just having friends there.
My heart is beating super fast, it's just me trying to dodge people as best and fast as I can. so I try to make it to a stall then back to class. I'm just about to get inside the bathroom then, I hear this voice from in the back crying super bad. I peek in the bathroom and I see Gregory standing there crying, talking to himself in the reflection nearby saying, " I hate him man, I'm I don't want to be the second best in the school. I was the best, but now it's him. He took everything away from me," I overhear. I just started booking it for class so I won't be late. While running to the classroom, I promised to never tell anyone what I had just heard. Depending on who says this, you need a speech tag and the period goes after. It felt like I heard it from a mile away. I just ran away from him. I promised to tell nobody to not end our friendship.
It felt like an hour before I last sat down.then I sat down to finally get recharged and gain energy by eating and chilling like me when I get home after school.
"What took you so long to sit down, you sloth," Angie laughs.
" don't blame me, blame the line which was longer the great wall of china" I responded.
Then, I finally get to dive into my food. I felt like a hippo eating fish in the water, " how the food chester is good or bad," Esme questioned
" It's not that good, but what can I say, at least it's better than nothing, am I right ."
" That's totally right," Warren said.
"Ring , ring ring" I heard a loud roar, the bell rang for us to go. My 8th period class is math, one of my favorite subjects other than ELA . I go there after I have pride with my teacher and classmates. I see Rosie at here locker scared
" You ok Rosie?" I asked.
"No, I'm scared for my life right now," she responded faster than lightning.
"What happened, did you see something?" I responded.
" I got this called from a number that was a anonymous number"
"The caller asked about Warren and threatened to kill him," she whimpered like a dog
She was crying bad, this the worst i've ever seen her cry before, this is worse than when we all went to see Romeo and Julet,
" Do you think he'll be ok?" I thought to myself.
" We need to let him know, alright " she yelled.
" After school ok" I promised her,
" Ok, you better remember," she told me.
" I'll try my best," I responded.
Once we stopped talking I sprinted down the hallway to get to my math class, I barely made it there in time and Mr. Bammerlin ( my math teacher ) said, " just in time nice,"
All of us are just getting out of our last period, every kid trying rushing down the hall fast as the fastest woman in the world, teachers yelling at the top of their lungs for students to stop running. So many detention forms went out, all I saw were 10 slips of paper being handed to each teacher in the hall like Mr. Kapostasy, Mrs. Pegher, Mr. Deyoung, even Mr. Bamerlin was handing them out left & right. I just stood at the exit waiting for everybody. they had got there, every one besides Warren,
" Yo, where's Warren at" I asked them
"He said he was going to the park for the day" Rosie responded
"Did you tell him about the call you got?" I asked
" Oh shoot hope he'll be fine" she said the in most worried voice
" I got to go guys, my mom wanted me to be home at the end of the school day today," Gregory said in a weird tone.
" all right then?" I respond
After we all got done talking we all split our ways heading home for the day. I was very burned out after today. It felt like we had 10,000 tests today. ( they only had 3 tests and one quiz) I was doing my homework in my room, then I heard my mom calling from the kitchen telling me to be downstairs pronto. I really thought I did something and I would get the beating of a lifetime. Then I hear the worst news of all,
"Warren had been killed at the skatepark"
I can't be
Why him, just why did it have to be him though.
" Does anybody else know about this man?"
" Yes Chester everyone knows already"
"Ok mom"
I know that It's going to be the most tragic thing in school, and everyone is going to be talking about it. Just stay calm alright, I tell myself.
Ring, I hear just waking up,
"Come down and get your breakfast" Ma said
I can just smell the beautiful bacon and pancakes from the stairs ,
"Here you go," she says to me.
"Thank you, see ya"
" Bye dear," she responded.
Then I waited for the bus, I did get a couple shots around outside to practice my form. Then I hear a scratch on the road. I get on the bus and start my adventure to school. Once I get there I hear everyone around gregory trying to get his address,
"Not this again," I whisper to myself.
Then I start going onward to band class.
" morning Mr. DuVall"
"Morning, Chester"
The day has finally started with first band, then science, after that ELA, ETC. The day went by fast so far but Lauren had to leave early for some reason, she would have told us she left early. But that is not the point the had been going well until when I went to the bathroom in the park after school Rafael told me to get to the swings pronto, then I sprinted there and saw lauren dead on her favorite swing since our childhood,
¨think about it chester, they had to know what swing she loved and only our friend group knew that was her favorite swing¨
¨that good thinking we'll ask everyone later were they were¨
After that we called the police and they questioned us about what happened and how we found it just lying there and how nobody else called them about it, we just said IDK we were confused as they were. Once they got done questioning us Rafael walked me home. Then, he went home. The next day begins same old room everything goes as normal until I get on the bus I don't see rafael on the bus and I ask the bus driver were he was,
¨ oh his mom called him off because he had to go to the hospital¨ she told me
¨ what happened to him?¨
¨he got stabbed in the stomach but it wasn't in a vital spot so he's ok¨
¨Ok¨
After I heard that I just got shook (scared) and thought why are they targeting my friend like this, or is it one of my friends being and plotting this and why would they do this. ¨
¨Maybe it's Gregory because Warren took all the fame from him till he got killed now he has the fame in the school¨ I wondered.
We get to school and I tell everyone what happened yesterday they were all worried besides Gregory and Angie, after telling them we go to our first period class and I sit down in Mrs. Peghers class (social studies teacher). Few days later Rafael is out of the hospital and ready to get back to school. I was super excited about this because I could update him on everything that had been happening at school like the quiz just had. Then, rafael and I were heading to our car in a parking garage on the second floor I leave just for a few minutes to get to the car and he just wasn't standing were he was before, he was just gone not there until I heard a voice yell my name and it was rafael in the bushes,
¨I can't move chester,¨ Rafael cried
¨ what happened who did this to you?¨
"I heard someone laughing and a white mask that looked like it was screaming," He responded.
I go on I went to get my flip phone and call 911 and get hear in matter of minutes, once they get a bed for him they bring him in the the lineup room I see angie in there and I was a little bit suspect of her,
" I think it was 1 wait no number 2,"
" Why do you think it was angie?"
"I caught a glimpse of the person face it looked like her for a little bit"
"" Oh alright," I responded.
The day after this I get to my last period class and I didn't see Esme there, the reason why I think this is I have class with her in English language arts and I just think she left early for some apparent reason, probably family reason I sit down with no partner doing our group work by myself It was fun doing work with no one talking to you it was quiet and peaceful just me and me only listening to music with my Sony Walkman jamming to cult of personality.
After school, I was walking to the playground right next to our school to just get some fresh air and cool down because we have five full days of school left and all this stuff that's been happening is just stressful it to out of control on the ground I find this compass laying there that lead to a pond nearby, it was north from wear the compass was pointing. There she was on the ground in clear body bag sitting there with a note card having a address to a house house near by saying
"You will find us there"
This had me a little shook but we finally got to find out who the killer is. I went home to print out copies for everyone to come find out with me. It's the next day for the 100th time the same old thing every morning: wake up, eat my breakfast, get on the bus, and go to school. But this time I passed out the copies of the note card to Rosie, Gregory, Yasion, and Angie. Then here my day starts.
I get to lunch and this time I pack my lunch so I stay and so I can talk to my friends about what happened.
" That's tough, why would they do this to us though?" Yasion asked.
" Do you think I would know this," I said.
Later that day, we all grouped up together at the park and started forward to the address. It was fun traveling there, everyone saying dares and us just laughing. Once we got to the house the door half opened like the killer was waiting for us. It was very odd that the door would be this open, it was just a little scary or they knew we were coming. We walk in and there we saw two killer instead of one,
"There's two of you freaks"
"Yes Chester, there is" Angie says as her voice changes back to normal.
"A-A-Angie why would you do this, just why?" I said in a frightened voice
" They took the spotlight from us, isn't that right Gregory," she said in mschievous voice. " That is right milady" gregory said
" you to, wait it all clicks together now that's how you knew what swing she liked and why you both sounded confident because y'all were the killer this makes since I should have known this early It was to obvious," I stated
" Now our plan is to kill you all to be the survivors of the killings, so who's first?" she said.
"How about chester darling,"
"wait , no"
CRACK! I hear a loud noise from the door,
" PUT THE WEAPON DOWN!" the police said,
" How are you guys here," they both say as they put down their weapons.
" someone called us from in the house" they said
" everyones here thow, wait it might have been the naberghbors next door we could be seen thru the windows outside," yasion said with an agreeable comment.
" plus y'all were yelling this to the extreme so any could have heard it, it could have been for a noise complaint," I said
"Noise complaint,huh odd but that could have been it thank god they called them or we would have been dead" yasion replied.
Weeks later Gregory and angie were sentences for 20 years in prison for 2nd degree,
Everything gets settled and goes back to normal everyone graduation besides them
two and they go to college and get there masters but chester stay and get his law
Degree and becomes a lawyer, rosie becomes a model, and yasion makes it to the
Nfl as a wide receiver on the steelers. Everything goes as planned until something Weird happens 26 years later this starts over again but it's different it happens to different generations, to their grandchildren.
