Prologue

Authors note: Haiya everyone! It's been a while since I've written a fanfic so I may be a bit...rusty. I personally LOVE finntaine tho so I HAD to come back and write a fanfic about them while we wait for the next season <3 I hope you enjoy! P.O.V Status: Narrator

    It was a lovely underwater morning, the waters were peaceful and there seemed to be no imminent threats to the environment around the Aronnax today. The nekton family was beginning to stir inside their giant submarine, beginning their usual everyday routines.

      "Breakfast is ready!" Hollered Kaiko.

Will was the first to arrive, his reading glasses sitting neatly edged on his nose whilst he held a stack of books and scrolls— each had drawings or writing all related to Lemuria.

Kaiko set down a plate of food for him, following it with a Cup of coffee; his usual preference as always. She let out an amused smile as the doors slid open reacting to an incoming young teenager who was running in at full speed.

" what's for breakfast?!" Ant chirped, swiftly scooping up a bottle of fish food and dropping a few flakes in the stretched out Fish tank that belonged to his best friend; Jeffrey.

" pancakes." Kaiko answered simply, setting down a plate for Ant as he sat down at the counter.

" Kaiko have I told you how much I absolutely Love your cooking?" Will chuckled, taking a bite of his pancake.

" Every time I make them." Kaiko chuckled giving her husband a warm smile.
"Say, where is Fontain?" She asked the two guys.

They both shrugged unable to talk because of the pancake chunks in their mouths.

" Fontain!!" Kaiko yelled out for her daughter.

{ Meanwhile with Fontain }

" And so—To get back at him I took his precious and rare Kaijou action figure and hid it in my secret room!" Fontain giggled tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear.

" I keep telling you, you make a better pirate than me Fontain." A voice responded back from the tablet she was holding. On the screen appeared a charming boy with dark black hair and glimmering blue eyes.

" Maybe that's just because I'm better than you at everything." Fontain remarked, giving him a cocky smile.

" I dunno about that...no one L—" Finn was cut off before he could finish his sentence.

"Fontain!!"

"Oops— sorry Finn, looks like I gotta go, Moms calling me." Fontain shrugged waving goodbye.

" uh— yeah, cya Fontain." Finn chuckled, waving back before she hung up.

Fontain got up and walked to the kitchen, she seemed to be glowing and in a better mood than usual. " morning guys." She greeted sitting down with the rest of her family.

" Good morning Fontain, what took you so long?" Kaiko asked, giving her daughter a curious look.

"Oh uh— I couldn't hear you because I was...playing music on my headphones." She said Cooly, hiding the fact she had been talking to Finn.
