David POV

I immediately drop the plate I'm scrubbing, hearing it shatter in the water, "sorry..." I say to the now broken inanimate object. ( A/N: fr tho, does anyone else do this?) before running through the living room to the front door.

I unlock and open the door, soap on my hands and all, and rush out to the small figure running down the street, I can see the shape of the person in the moonlight, and yup, it's Max. He heard my footsteps behind him and starts running faster, probably thinking I was a kidnapper or something, the thought kinda hurt, but he didn't know it was me so I let that feeling fade away.

He takes a left and I fall a bit further behind him, I pick up the pace and now I'm about 7 feet?, no 6 feet behind him. I  try to run as fast as my legs will allow, and I reach out, but my fingers only manage to brush over his hoodie. I try to grab for him again, this time I get the hood of his hoodie. Good! I grab him in the same fashion that his mom grabbed him on the last day of camp and end up choking him a bit. Not good!

He stops and I grab his shoulder instead. He coughs a bit before turning around "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR ASSHOLE!?" He yells. Ouch. Okay maybe that was a bit deserved for grabbing his hoodie like that, but I'm tired and just want to get done with the dishes and go to bed.

He takes a second to actually look at me and casually says "why the fuck are you here" "one, language, two, I could ask you the same question." I respond. Max doesn't answer, so instead I pick him up and start carrying him back home. "What the fuck do you think you're doing!?" He yells. " Bringing you back home. Calm down. " I answer, feeling the pills I took this morning wear off.

Max POV

When I left to go to Neil's house I heard footsteps behind me. long story short, they were David's. So now I'm being carried back to his house. But somethings different about David, he seems less cherry, Moore depressing, when he picked me up, I could see that he wasn't smiling, he looked stressed and tired. Two things that are VERY un-David-like. perhaps the fact that he agreed to take care of ME, the miniature hell raiser, the worst kid to ever step foot in Camp Campbell. But, knowing David that's highly unlikely. My running theory is that he got possessed. (For real this time)

We get back to David's house and he brings me inside, through the living room, up the stairs, and to me and Harrison's room. He shifts my weight to his chest to make sure he doesn't drop me when he opens up the door.

David turns on the light and walked to the bunk bed before gently plopping me down on the bed and pulling the covers over me. "Goodnight Max, sleep tight" he says softly before shutting the window and locking it. Stupid camp man.
