Kate's POV
What the hell, Clint?I'm not really in the mood to train for hours on end with my girlfriend. I know that sounds messed up and overall shitty to say, but that's how I feel. I'm not angry with her per se, but I am upset, to say the least.
I've got no right to force her to get married, and I don't want to get married if she doesn't want to either. But my concern is the fact that she doesn't think of our relationship blossoming into something better anytime soon.
I wait for Clint while he gets the Hawkeye suit I'd made for him. I look at him — his problem was most certainly branding. I look at him, about to give him a compliment. But I quickly stop myself before I do. "Don't give me that look, Kate."
"What look?"
He points at the mirror in front of me and I see my reflection. Is that really what I look like when I'm pissed off. "There's a reason for that, y'know."
"Kate, don't start with me." Clint starts to put tape over his fingers and mine as well. "It's you who offered she'd train with us in the first place."
"You're seriously not talking to her?"
"Haven't you seen me all morning?"
"C'mon, Kate. I hate to say but you're such a hypocrite."
The hell did he just call me. "I'm sorry?"
"I'll elaborate. When you and I were in New York, you kept talking about the important of communication and not suppressing feelings, no?"
Then it hit me. He's right.
"I'm doing what I said you shouldn't, aren't I?"
"Really? I hadn't noticed." I roll my eyes at his sarcasm until I catch sight of (Y/N) coming in her suit. I may be upset with her, but that doesn't change the fact that she's my sexy Avenger. "Ready to go?"
"I guess." Clint nods at (Y/N), wrapping an arm around her. "You okay to train?"
"I've got the painkillers just in case, Clint. I'll be okay." (Y/N) wraps an arm around Clint as well. These two sometimes look like children when they're besties. It's cute.
"Alright, then. Let's go."
(Y/N)'s POV
We get to the backyard where we're all ready to train and practice. Clint goes into the garage, taking out a few pistols and firearms. I go wide-eyed and Clint noticed. "Told you we'd use a gun.""Yeah — a gun. Not a convoy of."
Clint laughs at my response. "I'm not laughing, old-timer." I say to him. "We'll be fine, relax." I approach Clint, whispering in his ear. "It's not you and I I'm worried about." I look at Kate who's busy practicing her aim with her bow and arrow.
"Have you seen her use a gun before?"
"I have. It's not pretty." Clint says, loading a gun to give it to Kate. "Are you listening to yourself right now?"
"Look. I know what I'm doing. She's not my kid, and she's gotta learn new skills. She's my protege, so it's my job to teach her."
"I'll kill you if shit goes wrong."
"Noted, (Y/N/N). Noted."
I nod and Clint calls Kate over to give her the loaded gun. "Here you go. Be careful with that."
"Gotcha." Kate looks at me, gun in her hand. She's still very much upset for a reason I've yet to find out. What'd I do?
"We'll start with targets."

Kate's POV
We practically spend the entire day in the backyard doing target practice with our bows and guns interchangeably. I honestly thought it was fun and exciting. But what's the point of the fun of you don't share it with everyone in the room?I haven't even spoken to (Y/N) since we started to practice. To put it simply, I'm a very prideful creature. I wait for you to talk to me.
"That's it for today!" Clint says with his face covered in grease from a problem with the truck prior. He takes the gun away from my hand. "Not bad for a first time." I smile at him, soaking in the rare compliment.
"Thanks."
"Now go and talk to her." Clint gets me to follow his gaze over at (Y/N), who's busy stowing her guns away. I never did tell her she looks great in her hero suit. "But...?"
"No buts, Kate. You know she loves you. You know she's got trust issues. Why're you making it hard for her?"
"You're right — you're right."
"I know. Now go get her." Clint gives me a slap on the back while stowing the equipments away. I nod and I start to make my way to a now seated (Y/N) drinking some water.
"Hey." (Y/N) looks up and sees me greeting her for the first time in hours. Her face lights up, so relieved I'm talking to her. She's adorable.
"Hey."
"I think we need to talk."
"Please. Talk to me."
