Sky Islands : Anticipation.

Chapter 3: Meanwhile.

Tari woke up and yawned. Standing up and quickly getting changed. Getting ready for the day ahead. She opens her door and jumps off, holding the first step to help her swing with momentum and not be harmed from the fall. She lands in the living room and sees Ivory sat on the sofa. She glances over with a smile as Tari blushes and very swiftly walks into the kitchen avoiding her. Shutting the door behind her and sighing, seeing Clive at the table eating what looks to be a mushroom stew. Tari wonders to the side and makes herself a bowl of cereal. Easy as it comes.

She sits down across the table from Clive and eats without saying a word. Clive lowers his sunglasses and raises an eyebrow. "why am i wearing sunglasses-" He mumbles to himself before taking them off, then looking to Tari. "You alright bro? Pretty quiet..." He asks with one arm rested behind the chair. "I-...yeah... I'm alright!... just... had a bad dream... eheh..." She awkwardly says, munching on her food.

Ivory walks through the door and looks over to Tari while on her way to the cooker and do a fry up. "Mornin' Tar Tar~" She says. Tari's cheeks flushed red as she swallows. "H-...hey Ivory." She mumbles not making eye contact. Unable to since last night. She doesn't know what to think, did she like it? Or... did she not? She didn't want to hurt Ivory but didn't want to lie. She had to make her mind up first.

"What's the plan today? Everything seems pretty chill at the moment." Clive says finishing his mushroom stew. Tari shrugs slightly as Ivory raises an eyebrow subtly, glancing at Tari and noticing her very... independent behaviour. "C-...chill? What about Poppy? The Shards?" Tari exlaims in a very stressed out tone. "Fair fair... What should we do about The Shards? Do you think this Poppy person is also after them?" Clive responds. Tari moves her lips to one side unsure. "I-... I don't know." She says with a bit of uncertainty.

"I mean if we track The Shards down before her, maybe we could easily beat her? If that's what her deal is. Who knows what she wants." Ivory says, leaning on the side sipping a tea while the bacon is sizzling, filling the room with a proper English breakfast smell. Tari nods slightly, "That could always work..." She says, still not looking at her directly.

"Then that's what we do! Where did you say the next one was?" Clive exlaims, slamming the table, looking at Tari. Tari jumps back a bit. "I-... I never even said where it was. It depends on how we track them down." She says, blinking in shock. Clive coughs awkwardly as he sits back folding his arms.

"Yeah, well I don't think either of us care how we get them, we just need them. Right?" Ivory says, placing the bacon, eggs and chips onto a plate, sprinkling salt on the food. "I... I guess. If we want to go after the nearest one... it's in Realm 555." Tari says finishing her bowl of cereal. "Then that's our stop! Now... let's just get prepared for this. We'll leave first thing tomorrow. Who knows how long we'll be." Ivory says, then chewing on some bacon.

Tari nods. "Well... I'm going to Prismarine. We need some tools." She says, standing up and putting the bowl in the sink, Ivory brushing her hand on Tari's arm as she walks by. "Oo! I'll come too! I've got nothing going on right now anyway." Ivory says, Tari looks at her and she winks with the eye Clive can't see. Tari just storms out, blushing red, shaking her head flustered as always.

"What's her deal?" Clive says confusingly. Ivory shrugs then smirks, seeing Tari by the docks waiting for her. She passes the plate of food to Clive as he just shrugs, seeing it as free food as Ivory walks out, waving to Clive through the window as he waves back. She turns back and sees Tari.

"Hey Tari~ I hope last night didn't kill you! Haha" Ivory says teasing her, lightly punching her arm. Tari looks away flustered. "I-... y-yeah s-...sure..." She says getting in the boat, as Ivory did the same. They started sailing. Ivory's teasing smile faded looking at Tari, who wasn't playing along. "Hey... T-Tari are you alright?" Ivory asked. Tari nods. "Are you sure...? You seem... almost uncomfortable." She says, receiving a wave of guilt.
