Ashton's POV

It's been a while, a good hour or so since me and the class arrived at the campsite.

I told all the students to get a friend if they were to venture off to the nearby playground or hiking trail.

I was nervous that Luke didn't pack himself any food. Luke and Michael were the only ones with me by the makeshift fireplace.

"Luke? Did you pack anything to eat, mate?"

Michael asked as he watched Luke unpack his bag. Luke just hummed out a yes as he pulled out a small lunchbox from his bag, which I let out a sigh of relief.

"Nice, man."

Michael looked at me and gasped at my shirt.

"You listen to Sleeping with Sirens?!"

Luke also whipped his head around, smiling widely at my shirt as well. I chuckled and nodded.

"They are pretty big at the moment! I enjoy their songs."

"That's so cool! I'm used to seeing you all formal and whatever."

"Why should I dress formal while camping?"

He simply shrugged and sat on the ground, even though I supplied everyone with chairs or blankets.

"What other bands do you listen to, Mr. Irwin?"

I leaned back and sighed, trying to think.

"Nickleback, Bon Jovi and Nirvana mainly."

"So dad rock?"

Luke spoke, causing Michael to howl in laughter.

"Basically, yes."

I smiled warmly as Luke joined in Michael's laughter.

"It's beginning to become lunch time so how about you two youngsters go get everyone?"

"Yes, dad!"

Michael spoke with a laugh and ran out to get everyone, Luke staying behind. He seemed nervous and tense again.

"You alright, Luke?"

I asked, noticing his shoulders were tight.

"Yeah just.. Caught me off guard."

"What, lunch? It shouldn't cause you to get tense."

"Hm."

Was all Luke said as he grabbed his lunch box and opened it.

A small protein shake and breakfast bar was all that was in it, explaining how small the box was.

"New brand of breakfast bars I see?"

Luke chuckled and grabbed it.

"Yeah, I heard it was healthier and they taste nice so why not?"

I simply nodded, not forcing him to talk if he didn't want too.

This was gonna be a hard camping trip for Luke.
