Chapter 14: Everything's Unorthodox

And just like that, the stream was over. I didn't want to keep it going for more than two hours since I was hellishly tired, and also because I won't be responsible for my viewers' sleep deprivation. Anyways once I was done, I turned to see that A-Chan was still working which didn't surprise me at all. I guess we're both night owls, huh. "Almost finished?" I asked her. I didn't speak loudly since there was a sleeping Sora right there. "Almost finished," she replied. I'm not gonna go back to sleep until she goes to sleep. I'd feel bad, again with this feeling of guilt. Just as I was about to get up from my chair, the bedroom door opened. "Still awake, huh." It was the CEO himself. "Go home Yagoo," I tell him. "Alright then," he responds. "Goodnight you two." That was his outro. I'm surprised he listened to me, but he was probably planning to anyways. I turn my attention back to Friend-A, who was just finishing up her work. I stepped over and took a look at what she was doing. Just plain ol' marketing and stuff. At least she's able to get it all done. "What time do you plan on leaving by Yuujin?" "About 3 or 4 hours from now," she said, closing her laptop. I took it and went back to the desk, placing it besides mine. "Thanks." All I gave her was a thumbs up. "Sleeping here?" My friend responded with a single nod of the head. With that said, she crawled into the bed. I had already left the room when she did so. Now I'm out in the hallway, there's two doors to the right of Peko's room - the stairs to the left, kinda like Coco's house. Again, I was interrupted by another opening door - it was Pekora's brother. We both looked at each other with these tired looks on our faces. I turned and continued to go downtrend stairs after a while- "Hey," he called out to me. I had no choice but to stop, turn around and face him. "Are you planning on sleeping down in the basement?" He's hinting towards something, I know what it was. My answer to that question was a shoulder shrug. A sigh came out his mouth, then the words "Come on." Tomoki guided me into his bedroom, which was rather normal. Though something I immediately noticed tipped off his generosity. He's got a bunkbed. Also, there's sunlight coming out his window. Isn't it like...two in the morning?

I didn't pay much attention to it, since I was too busy making my way to the bottom bunk. But he interjected. "Take the top," he said. "The mattress is more comfortable than the one down here." He's being awfully generous. Then again, I don't know this guy too well, so maybe he's nice to everyone? Making my way up the ladder, I flop down on the top bunk. "Hey, I've got a question," I just have to ask. "Why's there sunlight coming out of your window?" I couldn't see his face but I can only imagine he looked annoyed or something. "Don't mind it." That was his last words before going to sleep. That was an hour ago, and I'm still awake. Though I'll fall asleep eventually, I just need to wait.

-Time Skip-
3 hours and 8 minutes later...

Just got back from my late run this morning. I woke up an hour ago, though I kept the run itself a bit short today. Pekora's father was one of the two people awake currently, not including me. He was awake when I left and he's awake now. Anyways, I made my way to Peko's bedroom, where Sora and her friend were probably still asleep in. Though I was wrong, they both were awake and packing their stuff. "Oh, hey." A-Chan was the first to see and greet me. Sora followed up with a "Good morning". I shot it back at her, then turned by attention back at miss Yuujin. "Leaving right about now?," I ask because they bother had their backpacks on their backs. They both nodded in confirmation. "Well, I'll see you later then." "Mhm, I look forward to it," Sora said, following up with a hug that was for me. I gave A-Chan a fist bump, that should be our thing. And with that, the two girls left. Now that that's over, I can go check up on everyone down in the basement.

Making my way down there, only one person was awake, and that was Kiryu Coco. We both go out for runs but I didn't see her, but it's alright. "Heya Stalker," she quietly greeted. Everyone behind her was in a deep sleep, or I assume they are. "Morning." That was all I said. "I gotta get those two back home," she pointed at the sleeping Kanata and Suisei. "They're doing a collab stream so they gotta prep up." The dragon made her way to the two, picking one up with her tail and the other up with one of her hands. "You need a ride home?" She asked, walking upto me. "Nope. Pekora asked me to stay another night, dunno why though." I told her this, and her response was a smirk - an annoying looking smirk. "Aww," she said. "She likes you, that's soo cute!" My eyes were now half closed, it's too early for this teasing. "Go home Coco," my voice was cold. The dragon shivered before she gave me a pat on the head with her free hand, exiting the basement and hopefully the house. I sighed when she left, I didn't want to deal with her this early morning. Well, it's still very early, so I guess I'll just find a chair and play some video games. I take a moment to loom around, finding a chair in the corner Ayame was and still is in. I made my way over, quietly of course as to not wake anyone up. As I do that, I look around at the sleeping forms. I now realize that they all are in their own futon. God I need to be more aware! Anyways, now I'm in the seat next to a sleeping Ayame. Pulling my phone out, I played the games all the morning.

About ten minutes in, I hear a yawn coming from ahead. I pause to look at who it was, only to be met with a tired looking Fubuki. She too looked around, eventually spotting me. We waved to each other, which was nice. After the white fox woke up, the person next to her did as well - it was Matsuri. The girl yawned quite loudly, which was not in her best interest. But since we can't read minds and she probably can't read the room, her yawn caused a chain reaction. Eventually, everyone was now awake. For a minute, the room was just filled with sleepy "Good mornings" but eventually turned into idle chatter. Ayame even woke up, yawning softly. "Morning," I was the first to greet the girl, in which she greeted me back. That was nice. "Are you still feeling sick?" The onii only shook her head, but a second later, nodded. I extend my arm out to her, placing my backhand on her forehead. She felt rather warm, so I guess she really is sick. "Well, all I can say is to go home and take care of yourself." Ayame nodded sleepily, getting up on her feet. She walked over to the other girls, chatting a bit before leaving. After she left, everyone else began to leave as well. Some came to me and spoke before eventually leaving. One of which was GawrGura. "Hey," she said. "Don't forget we gotta collab next week. Minecraft, you know where to find me." Those were her last words, of course they were vague. A few minutes later, the room was filled with silence. The only people left were me, and Pekora. The bunny in question walked upto me and just gave me a pat on the head, I was still sitting. "Guud morning!" She bounced up with energy. Where'd she get it from? "Well, we gotta get to cleaning-peko. You're gonna help me obviously." Once she got that out, she held up a broomstick which she got from thin air. I didn't see anything wrong so I took it and got to cleaning. Of course Pekora helped me, though I really should be the one to help her. Whatever, think it'll take about ten to fifteen minutes to finish cleaning? Yeah, that's sounds about right.

Once we were done, Peko offered me a bottle of water. I said my thanks and took it, opening it up to take a few sips. Then, she spoke up. "Soo.." she started off. "Yagoo wants us to shoot some skits in a few hours-peko." Skits? Why wasn't I informed? "Do you wanna join us? It'll be me, you, Haachama, Aqua, Matsuri & Fubuki annd I think Korone and Okayu as well." I dunno who the last two are, but I'll find out eventually. Though the skits sound like fun, and it'll be a good learning experience. Peko sounds like she does these quite a bit, so it'll be good to get the hang of it if I gotta do these as well. So I look her in the eye and I go "Sure, why not". Her eyes beamed up, like she got a pony for Christmas. The bunny then embraced me with a hug, a tight hug. I didn't complain, but I did smile - so I enjoyed it.
