Chapter 1: Need To Win!

I still felt a little bit shook up about just what it was that had in fact happened the other day, all at the exact same time too, at that. I just could not keep my head straight in any of my classes at all right now. Nor could I keep my head straight when ever it was that I did in fact seem to be speaking to my friends, and my team mates.
I just kind of did my best to try to keep my self calm, but it was just a bit hard for me to do so. It just kept coming back in to my mind over and over again for some odd reason or another. That was of course the fact that not only had the drunk driver nearly crashed in to me, and killed me.
But the fact that there was his blood, and pieces of his brain that were in fact all over the wind shield, all at the exact same time too. It was the worst thing that I had ever seen. Some thing that I would think I would be used to, due to the movies that I always seemed to watch.
Now when ever it was that I felt like I wanted to watch a movie now. I always felt sick when ever it was that I felt like I would see a scene like that. It was disgusting, but it also kind of tainted my mind and a bit, all at the exact same time too.
It was clear that it had messed up Xavier as well. I could tell that he had not been the same ever since it was that he had seen that. Some thing was in fact going on in his head, and I was not all too sure as to just what it was that it might be, none the less.
All I know was that when ever it was that we were both of the table with my mother last night. And she had asked what was wrong with the both of us, at that. We both had lied when we had said that we were both okay. We had simply just told her that we had a bit of a rough day.
It was not a lie, as it had all been rough as soon as it was that I had seen as such  a thing like that. It just seemed like it was going to for ever be a secret that we were going to keep between our selves, at that. That was of course until it was that my mother was to check the news like she usually did, and she found out that it was right at the park that we played hoops at.
I would worry about that when the time was to come, as I kind of just felt like I needed to calm my self down right now. I knew that it was that I needed to get my mind, and I needed to get my focus on just what it was that was more important right now, all at the exact same time too. That was of course the fact that it was that I knew I needed to get ready for the game that we were about to play tonight.
Of course, it was the 3rd game of the season for us, all at the exact same time too, at that. As it was that I knew that we had gotten absolutely destroyed in the first 2 games. The first one we had lost by over a hundred points. The 2nd one, not as bad as the first one. We had in fact still lost by a solid 40 points, as we still had not been able to put up all that much.
Our offense was absolutely terrible for us. It was not just the fact that we did not really have any shooters what so ever, at that. But it was also the fact that I knew as well, that we just were not good at passing the ball around, and keeping control of it what so ever, all at the exact same time too.
I knew that it annoyed the hell out of Xavier as well, as I could see him upset on the side lines. He some how managed to keep his cool how ever. Even though I knew that if i was in fact in his scenario, I would not be happy at all, what so ever.
I just kind of shook my head a little bit to my self, all at once, as in the end, I then did in fact get my mind and my focus off of all of that, all at the exact same time as well. A lot of that having to do with the fact that my good friend, Brandon, was in fact speaking to me right now. I then did in fact begin to start to turn my head over to him, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I had in fact done as such a thing like that. I then did in fact begin to start to look at him right in to his eyes, all at once. I then did in fact begin to start to nod to him, all at the exact same time too. It was clear that I was in fact letting him know that I was in fact paying my full attention as to just what ever it was that he did in fact feel like he even needed to say to me, all at the exact same time as well.
As it was that he had in fact seemed to see me do as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when he then did in fact begin to start to continue to speak to me, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact even feel like he had to say to me, in the very first place any ways, never the less.
"Come on man... You can't think too much on that right now... I know it must have been awful... We've got a game tonight... They haven't won a single game either... We might actually stand a chance in this one..." He said to me, all at the exact same time too. I saw him crack a little bit of a smile on his face too, as soon as it was that he had in fact even just said as to just what it was that he had even just said to me, all at the exact same time too.
How ever, the smile that it was that he had in fact seemed to have, did in fact just seem to go away not all too much longer after that. It was clear that he knew that what it was that he had in fact just said to me. That it of course had not at all made me feel at all any better right now.
I just still felt a bit sick, all at the exact same time too, all at once. I kind of pushed my trey of food back, all at the exact same time as well. I felt like I was not at all hungry right now, as I felt like I was simply dying in side right at this very moment in time too.
I felt like I just wanted to go to the rest room, and that I just wanted to hurl in the toilet right at this very moment in time as well. I still just could not get my mind and my focus off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that it was that I had in fact been thinking on long before now, none the less. I just kind of did my best to try to keep my self as calm and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, all at once.
I then did in fact just begin to start to look at Brandon right in to his eyes, all at the exact same time as well. I could tell that he did in fact feel bad for me right now, and that he was trying to make me feel some what better. Which of course, I did in fact appreciate it as well, even if it was that it was not really helping all too much.
I kind of just rolled my eyes a little bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, at that. In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to all of the sudden let out quite a bit of a rough sigh to my self, as well. As in the end, I just then die in fact begin to start to shake my head a little bit back over to my friend, all at once.
I just was still not all too sure as to just what it was that I should really do, and as to just what it was that I was really even doing right at this very moment in time any ways. In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to all of the sudden get my mind and my focus on the fact that it was that my friend. It was clear that he was in fact a little bit lost as to just what it was that was in going on with me.
I could in fact see that it was that he did in fact kind of have his head tilted a little bit over towards me, as it was clear to me that he was not all too sure as to just what it was that he should even be doing right now, all at the exact same time as well. I just kind of did my best to try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I possibly could, all at once. In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to speak to my friend, all at once, to let him know for a fact as to just what it was that was in fact going on with me right at this very moment in time as well, at that.
As it was that I had in fact began to start to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time too, never the less, once again. That was when I then did in fact see that with out any sort of hesitation at all. He of course did in fact begin to start to nod right on back over to me, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. As it was of course clear to me that right at this very moment in time too, that he was in fact letting me know that he was in fact beginning to start to pay attention as to just what it was that I was in fact about to say to him all of the sudden.
It did in fact make me feel a slight bit better too, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self either, as in the end, I just kind of started to get my mind, and I just kind of started to get my focus off of all of the rest of that other stuff, all at once, at that. I then did in fact end, did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead, and I then did in fact begin to start to speak to him all of the sudden, all at once, at that. I knew that it was that he was in fact of course, beginning to start to listen as to just what it was that I did in fact feel like I even had to say to him in the very first place any ways, at that.
"Yeah, I will be fine... I just... It was sick what I saw man... Sick..." I said to him, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to just try to not recall as to just what it was that I had in fact seen just last night, at that. I felt like I just needed to stop it, and that he was right, as to the fact that it was that I needed to have my mind, and I needed to have my focus on the game that it was that was tonight, at that.
I kind of just seemed to continue to stand there, and I continued to just seem to stare for just a little bit more time, all at once. In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus off of all of the rest of that other stuff, all at once. I then did in fact begin to start to feel a little bit of some energy to at least get a little bit of some thing to eat, all at the exact same time too.
I of course then did in fact just go right on ahead, and I then did in fact move my trey a little bit closer to me once again, at that. I then did in fact begin to start to pick up the carton of some chocolate milk, all at the exact same time too, at that. In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to all of the sudden start to drink out of it, all at once, as I did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, at that.
In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to get my mind, and I did in fact just begin to start to get my focus more or less on the fact that it was that I needed to be thinking on the fact that I needed to make sure that I was in fact strong and healthy for the game that it was that we were about to go on ahead and play tonight, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I had in fact began to start to eat up, and I had in fact began to start to drink up my food, all at the exact same time too. That was when I then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of some one else, all at once, as it was that they had in fact began to start to speak up in this current conversation, all at once. As I was in fact a little bit lost as to just what it was that was going on at first.
I began to start to notice that it was in fact the twins, all at the exact same time too, as it was that I had forgot that it was that they had in fact began to start to sit with us at the lunch tables, all at the exact same time too.
It still felt like it was going to take a little bit of some time to get used to it, as to the fact that I was so used to the fact that I always sat alone with Brandon, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. But after it was that they had found out that they had the same lunch period as us, all at the exact same time as well, that was when they had in fact decided as to the fact that they had wanted to sit with us here, all at the exact same time too.
It did not bother me all too much what so ever, even if it was that they were in fact tricksters, and it was that they were in fact pranksters, all at the exact same time too. I knew that I never really fell for their tricks, and I knew that it was that I never let them get in to my head what so ever. I kind of felt like I wish that it was that they would use that ability on the fact of the opponents that it was that we did in fact have to play up against, at that.
I kind of just rolled my eyes a little bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as in the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to get my mind, and my focus back on to the one that was in fact speaking right now. Which of course did in fact just so happen to be, Peter, all at the exact same time too. As I kind of just was a little bit lost, as I knew that they both looked exactly the same.
Peter of course did in fact have a little bit of a deeper voice how ever, all at the exact same time too. Meaning that I knew that it was Peter that was in fact speaking right now, as I then did in fact begin to start to nod to him, all at the exact same time as well. As of course, it was clear that I was in fact letting him know that it was that I was in fact beginning to start to pay my full attention on to just what ever it was that he felt like he did in fact even have to say to me, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
I just kind of then did in fact just seem to stand there and stare at Peter right in to his eyes for just a little bit more time, as I still was not all too sure as to just what it was that was in fact still even going on at first, all at the exact same time too, at that. In the end how ever, I then did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead, and I then did in fact begin to start to hear his voice, as it was that he did in fact just seem to continue to speak, all at once. I of course did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact feel like he even had to say to both either me, or Brandon, all at once, at that.
"It's alright man... It's been all over the news today... I get what you are going through man... You don't have to be thinking on so many thing at once... Just know we are here when the time comes later..." He said to me, as he looked at me right in to my eyes, as soon as it was that he had in fact just said as to such a thing like that, all at once. I was in fact a little bit surprised, and a little bit lost by it at first, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self either.
I just would not have felt like it would have been some thing that it was that one of the twins would have in fact even said to me what so ever, all at the exact same time too. It did in fact how ever, kind of make me feel a quite bit better as to just what it was that he had in fact even said to me how ever, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, once again.
I kind of did in fact seem to feel a whole lot better after just what it was that he had in fact even just said to me, all at the exact same time too. I then did in fact move the trey of food a little bit closer to me, all at once, as soon as it was that it did in fact feel like it had actually made me feel like that. And of course, it had actually hit me as to the fact that I knew that I needed to be for my team.
I knew that it was not the worst thing that it was that had in fact happened in my life. I was sure that there was far worse to come, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I kind of did my best to just think on some thing else, as I knew that was what it was that my grand mother must have been like when she was trying to pick me up from basketball practice that one day, none the less.
I kind of gulped a little bit heavily to my self, all at once. In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to let out another bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at once. As in the end, I just then did in fact seem to finish off the rest of the food that it was that was in fact on my trey, all at once.
As it was that I had in fact finished off all of that, all at the exact same time too, all at once. That was when I then did in fact begin to start to get my eyes on the twins, all at once. My eyes mainly being on Peter, as he was in fact the one who it was that had in fact just spoken to me, at that.
I kind of did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could even do in the mean time, all at once. As it was that I had in fact just seemed to do as such a thing like that, all at the exact same time as well. That was when I then did in fact nod over to him, to let him know that it was that I was in fact about to go right on ahead and start to speak back to him, all at once.
As soon as it was that I had in fact just done as such a thing like that over towards Peter. That was when I then did in fact begin to start to see that both of the twins in perfect timing, and in perfect response. They of course did in fact both start to nod back to me, all at the exact same time too. As it was in fact clear to me that right at this very moment in time as well, that it was that they were in fact all beginning to start to pay attention as to just what it was that I was in fact getting ready to say back over towards them.
I kind of just let out a little bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at once, as I did in fact just try to keep my self as calm as I felt like I could once again. In the end, I then did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead, and I then did in fact begin to start to speak to the both of the twins, as well as Brandon who I knew was still at the table, and was in fact still paying his full attention on to me as well, just as the twins were. I knew that it was that all 3 of them of course, were in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what it was that I did in fact feel like I had to say to all of them, all at the exact same time as well, at that, never the less.
"Yeah... I know... We have a bit game tonight, and this might be our chance of getting our first win... It will really boost our morale if we can win this game..." I said to them all, all at the exact same time too, as it felt like that was in fact my inner team captain speaking right now. As it also did in fact kind of make me feel a slight bit better, all at the exact same time too, none the less.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to think on that, and I began to start to calm my self down a bit, all at the exact same time too. That was when I saw that every one else did in fact begin to start to nod back to me in a little bit of some sort of response, all at the exact same time too. It did in fact make me feel a whole lot better as to just what it was that was in fact going on right now, all at the exact same time as well.
I did my best to try to act as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, all at once, as in the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus on the fact that there was in fact some thing going on in the news, on the TV that was in the cafeteria. It was one of those old box TVs of course, as those always seemed to be funny to me for me to even look at those, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of just cracked a little bit of a grin on my face as it was that I looked at it, all at once, once again. But I then did in fact begin to start to get my mind, and I began to start to get my focus on just what it was about. As of course it was in fact the news of the school district, all at the exact same time too.
It was telling as of all of the events that were going on today, as it felt like it was that I must have missed the basketball game. I would have felt like that would be up there first, rather than a few small little family events, as well as a tennis match, all at the exact same time too, at that. I felt like no one really cared about any of that what so ever, all at the exact same time too.
I was about to look away from all of that, all at the exact same time as well, until it was that I then did in fact all of the sudden realize, all at once. That yes of course, our game was now on the TV later tonight, as I began to start to get my eyes, and my ears on the TV, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I could just barely hear through all of the loud noise, and all of the loud voices that were in fact going on in the cafeteria right now, at that.
The lady that was in fact on the TV right now, was of course talking about the game right now. As it was that it seemed like, she could care less about any of just what it was that she was in fact saying, at that. Which of course I knew that was due to the fact that not only did any one not take our team any sort of serious at all, what so ever, at that.
But as well as the fact that no one cared about the other school what so ever, all at the exact same time as well. I kind of just did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I possibly could, all at the exact same time as well. As I then did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead, and I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that the lady did in fact feel like she even had to say about all of this, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
"And there is a game going on tonight... Admissions are free... If any one is interested in going..." She said, all at the exact same time too, as it seemed like she just wanted to get that over with, all at the exact same time too. I was kind of a little bit upset as to just what it was that the lady had in fact even just done, all at the exact same time as well, if it was that I was not going to lie to my self either.
I began to start to squint my eyes a little bit over towards the lady, all at once, as if it was that she could in fact see my from the other side. Which I knew was in fact stupid, as I knew that the lady had in fact recorded this message this morning for one thing. As well as the fact that it was not like there was some sort of camera connected to the TV that she could in fact see me through, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of just shook my head a little bit to my self, all at the exact same time as well, all at once, as in the end, I then did in fact just seem to start to get my mind, and my focus on just what it was that was on TV. It kind of seemed to make me hate what it was that came on TV even more. I was not all too sure as to just how it was that my mother could in fact even stand watching the news all of the time.
It seemed like all they did was try to scare people, and the good stuff just seemed to be shoved out of the way, all at the exact same time too. I kind of just blinked my eyes a few times, as luckily it seemed like my mind and my focus were in fact off of all of the rest of those other thoughts that it was that I had in fact even been thinking on long before now, all at once.
As of course, it was, that I now did in fact have my eyes on the rest of the people that were in fact with me at the table right at this very moment in time too, at that. I kind of felt a little bit better, all at the exact same time as well, as I then began to start to realize, all at once, that these people were in fact my team mates, at that. As it was that I had in fact just seemed to start to realize that, all at the exact same time as well.
That was when I then did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead, and once again, I then did in fact begin to start to speak to them, all at once. I knew that it was that I needed to make sure for a fact, that it was that I was in fact good enough for the game tonight. I knew for a fact that as good of a friend as Brandon was... We would be screwed if it was that he was in fact starting over me tonight, at that.
I seemed to stare at all of them for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time too. I then did in fact begin to start to see them all start to turn their heads over to me all of the sudden. In the end, as well, they then did in fact begin to start to nod to me, at that. As it was clear to me that they were in fact letting me know that it was that they were in fact beginning to start to pay their full attention on to just what it was that I was about to say to them, all at the exact same time as well.
I kind of felt a little bit better as soon as it was that I had in fact realize that it was in fact the case. I let out another little bit of a soft sigh to my self, all at once, once again. As I then did in fact begin to start to continue to speak to all of them, all at once. I knew that it was that they all were in fact beginning to start to listen as to just what it was that I felt like I did in fact even have to say to them, all at the exact same time as well, none the less.
"Yeah... Every thing is going to be fine... Don't worry y'all... This is going to be great for us tonight..." I said to them, all at the exact same time too, as I kind of began to start to crack a little bit of a smile on my face, all at once. As I knew that I was in fact happy, and I was not all too stressed out about playing good at all tonight, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
I kind of just seemed to continue to stand there and stare at him for just a little bit more time, all at the exact same time as well, at that. In the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to think on just what it was that I was even thinking about. I knew that it was of course the fact that I felt like I was trying to impress scouts.
I felt like there were not going to be any at this game, so I felt like it really did not matter all too much to me at all, what so ever. Nor did I really care to be a star so early in this high school career for me, at that. As I knew that it was that it was only my freshman year, as it was that Xavier had in fact reminded me time and time again.
He had told me the only way that it was that I was to get popularity, and to get any sort of recognition out here, all at the exact same time too. Was of course only if it was that I lived in Cali, all at the exact same time as well. As I had been told that it was in fact where all of the big athletes did in fact go if it was that they did in fact want to make it on the big stage, at that.
I kind of just rolled my eyes a little bit to my self, all at once. I felt like I did not like Cali all that much, as it felt like it was just a bunch of rich entitled people, all at the exact same time too. I knew that over there, those people did not know the struggles that it was that people where it was that I lived at. Of course did in fact have to go through on the daily basis, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
I kind of just seemed to stand there, and I kind of just seemed to stare for just a little bit more time, all at once, as in the end, I just then did in fact begin to start to get my mind, and I just then did in fact begin to start to get my focus on just what it was that was in fact going on right now. I heard a sharp ringing noise from all around me, all at the exact same time too.
I kind of tilted my head in a little bit of some confusion at first, all at the exact same time as well. I did not have a single clue as to just what it was that was in fact even going on right at this very moment in time too. I kind of just did my best to try to keep my self as calm, and as normal as I felt like I could, as I then did in fact begin to start to realize as to just what it was that was in fact happening right now.
It was clear that the loud buzzing, and the loud ringing, was in fact the school bell right now, as it was clear that it was trying to tell all of the kids that were in fact in here right now, all at the exact same time too. That it was that of course, we did in fact need to head back to our classes, all at the exact same time as well. As I knew that we had in fact been in here for quite a bit of some time, at that.
I kind of just began to start to let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at once. I then in the end, did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead, and I began to start to lift my self up from off the table, at that. As I of course made sure to grab my trey before it was that I got too comfortable, as I knew that it was that I needed to throw it away, at that, none the less.
Once it was that I had in fact just seemed to start to realize as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when I then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Brandon, all at the exact same time too. It was clear that he was in fact speaking to me right now, as he of course did in fact say my name, at that.
I turned my head over to him, on the other side of the table, all at the exact same time as well. I then looked at him right in to his eyes, as well. I then did in fact begin to start to nod on over to him, all at once. As it was in fact clear to the both of us, that it was that I was in fact paying my full attention to him right now.
I kind of just seemed to continue to stare at him right in to his eyes, all at the exact same time as well. In the end, I then did in fact begin to start to continue to hear his voice as it was that he continued to speak to me, all at the exact same time too. I of course, did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he did in fact feel like he even had to say to me, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
"Well Trevor! Good luck man! We will need it tonight... We need to win!"
