Cameron thought she was dreaming but it didnt feel like a dream. She pinched herself to be sure, yeah she wasn't dreaming. Her parents were untouchable at least they seemed untouchable. Her father was the Minister for finance in Nigeria and also a well known chief in the village. Her mother had been one of the few designers who made a lot of money in Nigeria. She had been born at a time of economic meltdown so her parents took her abroad to be delivered. She was born a citizen of USA. She grew up there and had vacations everywhere except Nigeria. She often wondered why her parents didnt want her there but they never discussed it. Her father lived in Nigeria and her mother shuffled between Nigeria and the US.
She had everything she wanted but her freedom. She was looked after by a very pretty lady named Miss Pond. Miss Pond was as close to what she called a best friend. She was home schooled so she wouldnt have to mix up with the spoilt kids of Americans as her father said. The last time she spoke to her dad, he was complaining about her mother he didnt even ask how she had been. She badly wanted to slam the phone down and think good riddance but she knew she wouldnt do that because she still loved her father. Now the images of her parents on the laptop screen were blurry due to the tears slowly finding their way out. Her parents were dead. She so much wanted answers that she knew already she wouldnt get. The room was moving now. She landed on the floor and the tears came out in their full force.
