it was like a curse, and everyone was poisoned.

"okay, so you're yor's brother, right?" nightfall, a spy from wise asks.

"yeah. you're lottie's co-worker?" yuri briar, replies. fiona physically cringed from the nickname, before nodding.

yuri sighs. "so you're going to help me find out their secret?" that caught fiona's attention. "what secret? you didn't tell me about this. I'm only meeting with you because you have connections."

"look, I'm sure my sister is getting forced to be with lottie! just trust me, fiona." yuri slams his hands on the table and leans to her face. she gives him a strange look before sighing.

she was deeply in love with twilight, or loid forger, but she knew this was wrong. she was aware he was a police that hunts spies, and it would be dangerous to work with him, but...

"alright...fine. I'll help you, only since im in love with tw- loid." she stands up, fixing her outfit. yuri beams and thanks her, not knowing she was a spy.

'theres no turning back now...' she thought. would this be a bad idea? yes. was she aware? yes.

but as i said...love makes you do stupid things.

it's been a week since fiona has helped yuri of making loid and yor spill out their secret. she decided to be careful since she doesn't want this to disturb her doing missions.

well, until 'handler' calls her.

"nightfall, what happened to you??" sylvia, or known as handler slams the papers on her table, staring at the spy. nightfall kept her head down, she didn't want to be scold today. at all.

"is there anything bothering you?" sylvia asks. the spy still don't reply.

sylvia sighs disappointed. "you're dismissed." fiona nods and quickly stood up, heading at the door.

"nightfall.... make sure you don't get in the way of operation strix."

"what took you so long?!" an annoyed yuri half shouts at fiona, who just stared at him blankly. he facepalms before standing up from his chair, "this is the plan."

yuri starts explaining, and fiona couldn't lie, it sounded like gibberish to her. not because yuri was bad at explaining— actually, that was half of her reason, but the other half was because of what sylvia said.

she already knew this was wrong. so why was she still trying? it would be better if she just silently watched him fall in love with someone else...right..?

she started to regret everything. she's a spy, she doesn't need to feel love, she doesn't have to care if she's alone, she needs to focus on her job and overwork herse-

"fiona!" yuri gets her back to her senses as he shakes her shoulder. "are you even listening?"

fiona stared at him blankly. those red eyes remind her of twilight's fake wife, yor. why didn't he just chose her over him? was she not good enough?

"answer me!" yuri, once again gets her back to her senses. he was clearly worried. fiona lets her head down, before muttering,

"i don't want to do this anymore."

yuri's eyes widens. "what? why not?!" he almost shouts at her. "i- i know loid loves her very much... I'm sure I'm not even a match for your sister...im sorry...yuri." she apologizes before taking her back, ready to leave.

"wa-wait a minute, fiona!" yuri grabs her hand, chasing her. fiona turns around, eyes filled with tears, and yuri couldn't help but feel guilty.

"i.... I'm sorry..." he apologizes genuinely. "listen.....i...i just want a perfect man for my sister... I'm sorry for getting you involved."

her eyes widens. does he really love his sister that much? she wondered.

'his eyes are pretty.' she thought as she stared at him. yuri stares back before feeling his face get hot, taking his hand off hers.

"y-you can go now." he stumbles, refusing to look at her.

"you're a good brother, yuri." fiona blurts out before leaving his office. yuri was stunned at her words, and for once, he thought,

'fiona...is beautiful.'
