After the group of teens got off of the train, everyone made their way inside.
Soon it was time for the sorting ceremony after everyone was now on the castle.
"I hate this. The sorting ceremony is so long" Odetta huffs as she whispers to her blonde friend beside her. "That's what she said" Marlene laughs. "Oh shut up Marls, this isn't the time to make jokes. This is actually so boring, I wish I could skip it." Odetta says as she sighs and rolls her eyes. "Whatever you say Odetta." Marlene looks back to all the new first years.
Across from them a black haired boy groans. "How much longer is this going to take? I'm so bored" Sirius whines. "You're right, this is very boring." His messy haired friend agreed. "Shut up Potter. I'd rather listen to these first years get sorted than hear your voice that sounds like nails on a chalkboard." Odetta says to James. "Oh you'd kill just to hear my voice Lynch." James answers. "You wish." She calls back out to him ending the conversation.
After the first years all got sorted, the food appeared on the table and everyone began eating. Odetta had been picking around her food when she felt a kick under the table. She looked up to see Sirius giving her a look, indicating for her to stop picking at it, and to eat it. She shook her head enough for Sirius to get the hint, but for nobody else to notice. He softly nodded his head and went back to eating his food, and Odetta going back to picking at it like before.
Once everyone was finished, it was time for everybody to head up to their common rooms. Odetta, Lily, Marlene, Dorcas, Peter, Sirius, Remus, and James along with all the other Gryffindors, made their way back up to their common room, and for some, their dorms.
Once everyone got up there, Odetta flopped onto one of the couches. "I am so tired. And that was so boring." She huffs.
"I agree" Remus says. "I was about to die of boredom if I was there for any longer." Everyone agrees.
After a bit of chatting, some of the teens went to their dorms to go to sleep, only Odetta, James, Sirius, and Lily were left in the common room.
"Hey Lily-flower" James called out the the redhead girl. She hummed in response. "Will you go on a date to hogsmeade with me?" He questioned. "I'll go on a date with you when pigs fly Potter." Lily replies in annoyance. "Well I mean I can simply charm an animal to turn it into a pig, and use an easy wingardium leviosa on it." He smirks. "Can't you take a hint Potter?!" Lily stands up and storms off to her dorm that she shared with the girls.
"Well what's got her knickers in a twist?" James asks, ignoring the obvious rejection. "What's got her knickers in a twist, is you Potter. You are the problem. You've been obsessed with her for 4 years, and you still can't take no for an answer! Why are you so blind?" She gets up and storms off the her dorm that she shared with the girls.
The boys sat and talked for a little longer before going to their dorms and soon going to sleep as their first day of classes were tomorrow.
(A/n: sorry it's a little short. Just a filler chapter because I don't really have motivation to write, and having a little bit of writers block. Whoever sees this can you please give me suggestions on what to write next? It would help ALOT!)
