The Stall Door

Chapter Eleven

      It's been a week and Adri is still living in my house. Well technically in my bedroom, as bad as that sounds. She's been acting different though. More... awkward than usual. I didn't know how to describe it, but she was defiantly acting different. I glanced over at the clock. 1:49 AM. I turned on my side to face Adri, who was lying peacefully in the sleeping bag.

"You awake?" I asked.

"Yeah, barely" she murmured. She was so tired.

"I feel like someone's watching me"

"Me too."

"What if it's Dom?"

"Are you asking me to sleep with you again?"

I glanced over at the window and saw something moving.

"Yes! Get over here. I see something moving"

Without panic, Adri slid out of the sleeping bag and into bed with me. I had one arm behind my head and the other tightly around her. She quickly fell back to sleep, as for me, I had to fake it. I could hear a faint tap on the window, but had to ignore it. A gust of cold air filled the room. Adri nuzzled closer to me. Shit! I left the window unlocked! I could hear someone climbing through the window. God dammit! I tightened my grip on Adri and wrapped my other arm around her. I told her I'd keep her safe, now I'd have too. I felt someone lift the blanket up. I kicked it back over us.

"I luv who two" Adri murmured nuzzling closer. She was practically smashed against me now. She said some pretty crazy things while she was sleeping.

The blanket rose up again, causing me to wrap my leg around Adri's. I felt my leg being picked up and placed in its original position. Shit! My arms was thrown off of her, I felt her leaving. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes without the guy noticing. I saw Dom with Adri in his arms.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" I asked confidently.

"Taking back what's mine" he snapped back as he started to run.

"Twent" Adri slurred sleepily. Must be a damn good dream if I'm in it.

I started chasing after him, out the window, down the sidewalk, everywhere. I couldn't tell where exactly he was going, but eventually, he made a turn and got out of my sight. Holy shit, I couldn't believe this was happening. I started to here police sirens. Good! Maybe they can help me!

"Hey offi-"

"Get in the car kid, don't you know running around in your boxers is still public nudity?" The officer explained cuffing my hands together. I looked down and sure enough, I was in my boxers. Shit! Now Adri was in even more trouble. I heard a scream from down the path. Adri! I escaped the officer's hands and started running again.

"Adri!" I yelled out.

I heard more screaming and quickened my running. I've never heard Adri scream so I didn't have much to go on.

"Kid get back here!" The officer yelled chasing after me.

I continued running. I didn't care if I got arrested or anything, I wanted her to at least be safe. My heart rate was the fastest it's ever been. Eventually I reached the end of the path.

"Adri!" I yelled again. No response.

And then I woke up. It was all a dream.

"Adri?" I asked.

"Yeah?"

Thank god!

"...Nothing"

"You want me to come up there with you?"

"Yes, you'll never believe the dream I just had"

She smirked and climbed into bed with me. Thank god she was okay. I climbed out of bed and locked the window quickly before jumping back into bed with her.

"So what happened?" she asked.

"Well I felt like someone was watching me, so you climbed into bed with me and-"

"Whoa I can already tell where this is going"

"Where?"

"You had a sex dream about me" she said with a smirk.

"NO!"

"I was kidding"

Sure she was. I laughed slightly. "Good".

     The next day, we were walking back from school. We were stuck acting like a couple again. Adri glanced up at me and fake kissed me again. She smirked slightly and tripped.

"Nice going babe" I joked helping you her up.

"Babe?" someone asked from behind us.

We turned around to face Steph. God dammit what's she doing here?

"I got thought you'd want to know that I caught your little 'kiss' on camera"

Shit!

"It's not what it looks like!" I explained "Were not together period".

"That's exactly what I thought" Dom said walking around the corner. Shit!

"Dom!" Adri asked. I squeezed Adri's hand tightly. He laughed and yanked her hand out of mine.

"Here, I'll take my girl back, and you can get back with your girl" Dom explained with a laugh. She grabbed Adri and climbed into his car. Steph smiled and kissed me.

"Bitch, I rejected you once, and now a second time, leave me the fuck alone" I explained pushing her away from me. I ran into my house and gazed out the window. Looks like Adri's moved on.

Fuck her.

Fuck Steph.

Fuck Dom.
