The next morning Lennox woke up engulfed in Noahs arms.
He was sound asleep with his head rested on her shoulder. She studied every inch of his face. He looked so peaceful and perfect. His lips were parted as he breathed slowly in and out. His hair was standing up in every direction and for a minute she got lost in his features.
The realization of moving there and being with Noah as much as possible had finally sunk in and she wanted to cry out of happiness.
Everything was happening so fast but she knew this was the right thing to do. Plus the excitement of traveling the world with him and doing her dream job just added to the immense joy she felt.
"You are staring at me as if I'm gonna disappear at any moment. Are you okay?"
Noah's groggy voice snapped her out of the trance she was in and she laughed out of embarrassment.
"Well I never know with you baby. No, I was deep in thought about moving here, and touring the world with you. Once its all said and done ill never have to feel that heart wrenching feeling of leaving you again. I could fucking backflip through the house thinking about it. "
Noah chuckled and pulled her closer to him.
"I know you are flexible and all that but I really don't recommend you doing that. You are accident prone ."
A little while later they made their way down the stairs and into the kitchen where the others were currently occupying. Parker was on the phone and Arwen was watching him like a hawk. Jolly waved at the two as they entered the room and then went back to flipping pancakes.
Parker hung up the phone and then faced Arwen.
"Well its official.....We got the fucking house!"
He grabbed her and spun her around as they both screamed. Lennox joined the group hug and the three of them stood there in an embrace for a few minutes.
Later that day they went to the realtors office and signed the paperwork. They would return in a month to get the keys and to begin moving in.
The next day was spent celebrating and enjoying the calm before the storm. When Noah dropped them off at the airport Lennox didn't feel that same dreadful feeling. She knew they would be back soon.
As soon as they got back to Daytona the packing began. Over the next month they decided to not sell Lennox' house so that they would have somewhere to stay when they came back to visit and for business trips. Maggie and Jacob were put in charge of the Daytona branch Zodiac which they were totally happy about and Parker and Arwen's house sold for twice what they had bought it for originally.
"Why the fuck do we own so much shit? How do two people accumulate so much crap?"
Arwen complained as she threw things into boxes.
"You have a shopping problem and no self control."
Parker mumbled as he too threw things around.
"Yeah I guess that does explain some of it. Lenny, how are you done packing already? You have a shopping problem too."
Lennox laughed as she shrugged.
"I'm not packing up an entire house. Most of my shit is staying here. I just packed the important stuff. Clothing, knickknacks, things I can't live without. you know the norm. "
" At least we don't have to move any of it ourselves. Just pack it. The movers will be here tomorrow morning to load it all in the truck and then drive it across the country. Hopefully they don't lose our shit. "
Parker wasn't so sure about total strangers driving their stuff that far but there was no way in hell they could do it themselves. It was just too far.
"We are gonna beat them to the new house by like a week. Its a good thing we are buying new furniture cause we would be sleeping on the floor for awhile."
Lennox pointed out . The other two nodded and continued to pack. None of them got any sleep that night as they finished packing and getting everything set up.
The movers arrived the following morning and within an hour everything was packed and loaded. They did their final checks and then hit the road.
Once everything was out of the house that they were keeping and all the stuff they were leaving was stored in Lennox' garage , they cleaned the empty house and then headed to the airport. Their plane left at midnight and as they watched Daytona disappear in the distance a feeling of peace washed over them.
"I can't believe we did this. How fucking exciting. "
Arwen spoke up before the other two could say it.
"I think our parents were right. We are fucking insane. Who just packs up their lives and moves to the other side of the country on a whim?"
Lennox rubbed her eyes and yawned.
"90% of the people who grew up in Florida , best friend. We arent crazy. Well maybe a little bit. "
Arwen leaned her head against Parker's shoulder and began to fall asleep. Lennox closed her eyes and did the same. The last thing they heard as they drifted off to sleep was Parker.
"I really hope they don't lose our shit. "
