"Hey, let's work on the bench over there," Clarke said, grabbing Lexa's hand and dragging her to the bench. "We could just get a table, Clarke,"
"I want to try something new," She said with a smile as she sat down. Then they opened their class textbooks and got to work.
Lexa glanced over at Clarke, taking in her beautiful blue eyes, her wavy blonde hair, her lips..
Clarke turned suddenly to face her and Lexa immediately blushed. "You were staring at me," Clarke said to her best friend with a smirk.
"I-I was going to ask you a question," Lexa stammered. Oh god. Now she had to come up with a question.
"What?"
Lexa racked her brain for anything, ANYTHING to ask. "Uh, how's Bellamy?"
"Good... But you hate Bellamy, why are you asking about him?"
"He's your boyfriend, I can't hate him forever," Lexa said back, giving Clarke a weak smile but not looking her in the eyes.
"Okay..." Clarke muttered. She was sure Lexa was holding something back but didn't press. Instead, she went back to working on her math assignment.
Lexa tried desperately not to look at her beautiful friend, but she couldn't help sneaking a few peeks every now and then along the next 40 minutes of the free period.
