In the morning, Remus wakes up drowsily and rubs his tired eyes with his hand in a fist, with a yawn then sigh as he hurriedly grabbed his things and went to school, fortunately for him very soon the holidays were coming up, so he didn't bother paying attention much for the last stretch.

Upon arrival, he glares at some people who look at him hatefully, people usually stared, mostly bullies, but he did not care unless there were many. Eyeing the popular kid, Logan, warily. He hadn't talked to the guy, but he just knew mostly he'd stay silent when other kids bullied him, like he expected, or well more he expected him to join in, but oh well. He wasn't complaining.

Flying through classes, he was only jolted awake when the bell went each class, today didn't go too well nor bad, as usual, commotion and gossip weaved its way around through mutters and whispered and usually people giggling then sneered at him, he hardly answered in many classes, there was no a single point to, if he got it wrong, which was very likely, people would just laugh and taunt him as always, his mother didn't care really. Not about the bullying OR about his slightly disappointing scores in tests. Pretty much all of the teachers hated him here, rightfully so he guessed, he got them a bad reputation, so he tried to ignore everything grumpily.

However, when it came to lunchtime, he noticed Logan indeed wasn't sitting with his friends, but across from him on the empty table, picking elegantly through his food but not looking at Remus nor saying a word, he must've been well aware people were watching, right?

Apparently not, because he just spoke:
"Hello, Remus" he greeted unusually but casually and Remus raised an eyebrow.
"Hi?" he replied, confused and interested at the same time, why was he here? Most likely to gather information for his dumb gossip-y friends. The bit that confused him is that he didn't.
"Miss told me I had to help you with a project."
Ohh. So that's why. It made a lot more sense, but not at the same time, couldn't he just breezily deny and not get any harm come his way?
"You there?"
He shakes his head a little,
"Uh, yes" he replies apprehensively, and Logan hands him a note with a phone number, he takes it awkwardly and then Logan nods his goodbye as he left, huh, that was quite the interaction.
