Today was an ordinary day. Nothing too special happened, except for the small commotion when a human wandered into our village. It's actually quite rare for a human to wander into our village. Our village, unlike other villages, is far off at the end of the map of our kingdom. Referring to this place as a kingdom makes it sound so majestical when it's not. In fact, for us Nekophians this place is the opposite of majestical. Humans hate us. They have pushed us off to the border of their kingdom. If we were to wander into their property or village, the kingdom law says humans are allowed to keep us. In other words, we become slaves. In the eyes of the humans, Nekophians are no more than wild animals.

You're probably wondering what a Nekophian is by now. Well, the word Nekophian is derived from the japanese word "neko", which translates to "cat". We are just regular humans with cat-like features. We have furry ears at the top of our heads and fuzzy tails behind us. We even have claw-like nails. All Nekophians have bright colored eyes. Some have green eyes, others have yellow. There is even turquoise-eyed Nekophians. But we're mostly human. We could easily blend into the human community if it weren't for our ears and tails and strangely bright eyes.

We are lucky to have small law that protects us as long as we stay in our village. This small law has helped decreased slavery among Nekophians tremendously. This is the safest kingdom among all. In other kingdoms, humans are allowed to hunt Nekophians. We are very happy to live safely. To live safely in this kingdom of Raylanor.
