"I'm looking forward to see him again."

"And then? What are you going to do?"

Jungkook gives no answer. He doesn't know what the next day might bring...or better; the next night. With intertwined fingers his elbows are propped on the table, so that his hands' backs provide support for his chin.

His gaze wanders slowly through the empty café, sweeping around the unoccupied chairs, which have already been cleared of any crumbs, stains or dust. The lovingly designed decoration shines in the subtle shades of beige and mint. Thus, table runners, napkins and candles are in direct contrast to the dominant furniture made of dark walnut wood.

As an architect, Jungkook pays particular attention to the subtleties that give life to a building. Hoseok's parents have done everything right. Although it's a small building, the location looks harmonious and inviting.

While Jungkook tries to eliminate the spider threads of his thoughts, noises come from the kitchen at irregular intervals. Sometimes it's a bright clinking of cutlery, then the muffled sound of a pot being put back on the shelf...or the loud shattering of glass turning into dozens of shards on the cold, hard tile floor.

"MOM? IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT?"

Hobi's call pierces the silence like an arrow, making Jungkook's body quiver for a brief moment. The visual tour thus ends with his best friend sitting directly opposite him. Jungkook's observing him, as he sways restlessly in his chair with eyes aiming at the half-open kitchen door.

"Maybe we should go check?" Jungkook asks hesitantly.

"Stay here. I'll go quickly."

Hobi stands up hectically, so that the squeaking of the chair echoes through the entire restaurant. Jungkook looks after him wordlessly as Hoseok disappears into the kitchen at a fast-walking pace.

This situation only gives Jungkook more time to think about his answer. So...what is he going to do when he'll see the warrior of his dreams again? He'd really love to know the answer.

Leaning back in relaxation, he listens to the pattering rain beating against the window panes. Darkness has already engulfed the soft pink of the sky, turning evening into night. Jungkook checks the exact time by glancing at his watch on his left wrist. The silver metal bracelet reflects the light from the round ceiling light, and the dial reads 23:10. How quickly time flies.

Normally, Jungkook's and Hobi's favorite café closes at 10 p.m. during the week. Since Hoseok's parents are the store owners, the two don't have to adhere to any opening hours. Quite practical, especially if you want to chat in a cozy atmosphere without being disturbed.

In this case, they often...regularly...even daily philosophize about Jungkook's dreams. What could they mean? And who is this outrageously handsome warrior with the long hair? Jungkook never felt that attracted to a person until this stranger appeared in his life. Frightening, because he doesn't even exist. But then why do the dreams feel more real than reality? And why does Jungkook feel so much more alive since the nameless man entered his life...pardon, his dreams?

But yeah, Hobi is right. He'll see him again. This night, tomorrow night and the night after. And then? Then he'll admire him just as much from a distance as all the days before. Jungkook has stopped counting how many days it actually is. In fact, he can't even remember what it was like without dreaming of this magical place and this beautiful man. Unimaginable that it should have been different once.

Suddenly, Jungkook turns his head to the right as he hears footsteps approaching him slowly. Hobi's relaxed features tell him that nothing dramatic has happened in the kitchen. After this realization, Jungkook breathes a sigh of relief.
