Estella was a cheerful child, despite been starved, forced to do all the house chores, and locked inside a cupboard.

She always saw the good in everything, and had a kind aura around her. But despite being good and kind, no one really liked Estella, all thanks to her relatives. She was painted as a lazy and stupid girl by her aunt Petunia, a very rude child who had no respect for elders by her uncle Vernon, and a freak by her cousin Dudley. But Estella didn't mind at all, she was content being on her own most of the time, and at school she just ignored everyone. She didn't mind the fact that she was only fed one meal a day either, she was already used to it anyways, and the darkness of her cupboard gives her comfort, so she didn't mind that too.

Estella remained the ever kind and considerate little girl she as always been.

That is, until Vernon Dursley decided to do something extremely stupid.

It was a beautiful evening, and seven year old Estella was sitting on a bench, watching as the sun sets over the horizon. It was a beautiful sight to watch, Estella's favourite time of the day. But unfortunately, she always had to be home before dark. On her way home, however, Dudley and his gang appeared out of nowhere, blocking her path. Estella sighed tiredly, 'not this again'. ''What do you want, Dudley?''.

''Oh you know Potter''. He sneered, Stepping a bit closer, an evil look on his fat face. ''Get her!''. He ordered his gang and they quickly charged at the girl. Estella easily dodged their attempt to catch her rather skillfully, as she had done this a million times already. She eventually managed to escape and sprinted towards number four privet streets, but unfortunately for her, she hadn't realise one of Dudley's gang member wasn't with them and was taken by surprise when Polkiss came out of no where and knocked her down with his fist. She fell, pain shooting through her head like an electric shock.

''Nice one Piers''. Dennis praised with a nasty grin before kicking Estella on the stomach, adding to her pain. Dudley joined in and then Piers, followed by Gordon and Malcolm. Estella was in pain as she cried out for help. No one came, and she knew no one really cared enough to come. She had no one, and for the first time in her life, Estella actually wished she had someone. Anyone.

She sat in her little cage, watching as the scene before her unholds. It was Dudley and his gang again, and she couldn't help but agree with Estella when she sighed in frustration. This boys were getting on her nerve, as always. If only she could get out of this prison, she'd teach them all a lesson. Estella was too soft for her own good, and she needed someone to help her fight back, but she could not get out of this annoying prison no matter how much she tried.

She scowled and watched as Estella dodged the idiots' attempt to catch her. She would've found it amusing if Estella hadn't already done this a million times. She was completely disinterested in what was going on, until she felt a force that pushed her back so hard it hurts. What had just happened!?. Quickly gaining her balance she watched as all the boys towered over her and Estella. The first kick made her move back in pain again, then another, and another, until she couldn't help but scream when it became too much to bare.

''I wish someone would come and help me''. She could hear Estella's desperate thought. ''I wish i had someone. Anyone''.

Estella's desperation was enough to cause a crack on the wall of her prison, letting her push some of her energy out to help the girl in need despite her own pain. Now it was up to Estella to use her newfound strength.

Estella didn't understand what had happened. One minute she was on the floor, helpless and at the mercy of her cousin and his gang, and the next she suddenly felt something like adrenalin rush through her system. It was a strange feeling, something unexplainable trying to break free, and she let it, sending Dudley and his gang flying away effortlessly. She only watched as they crumbled away, Dudley_who ended up falling on the concrete ground instead of the soft grasses like the rest of his friends_ended up limping away while holding his broken hand crying. He had such large gashes on his face that Estella actually pitied him. But that Pity quickly turned to dread when she realised what her aunt and uncle would do. True, they've never really hurt her physically, except for a little smack here and there for doing a chore wrong, but with the way Dudley was looking, and the fact that he'd blame her, Estella wasn't so hopeful, not really.

It was completely dark when she finally arrived home. Estella only hoped her aunt and uncle weren't home because she had seen their car passed by while she hid behind some bushes, no doubt carrying Dudley to the hospital.

She took the spare key from under the carpet and opened the door. The moment she did though, all hope drained from her and a feeling of hopelessness settled. Vernon was sitting on a chair, staring at her like a hawk ready to capture its prey. ''Close the door freak''. He ordered quietly but angrily.

Estella was trembling. She could've run away, she could've called for help, but she knew it would all be fruitless. If she ran where would she go? If she called for help who would come help her?, no one. So Estella took a deep breath, quietly closed the door, and approached her uncle. If he was going to hurt her, then he better get it over with, alittle scratch here and there won't hurt, right?.

Poor Estella didn't know that would be the last time she'd ever see the sun go down.

She began panicking when she suddenly felt Estella go numb. There was no pain anymore, but there was also no thoughts. The beating of the kind girl's heart that usually gave her comfort was silent, and the warmth she usually felt has turned cold. So cold. Too cold.

Where was Estella?.

She couldn't feel her anymore and it frightened her.

Her little prison that was always bright was now dark, the feeling of emptiness washing over her like cold ice water.

She refused to believe what had happened. She refused to admit that the only companion she'd ever had in this prison...was gone.

During all her musing and denial, she didn't notice the crack that was already on her prison walls had began widening until a bright light shot out of it. By the time she noticed this it was too late, the light had become so bright she couldn't see a thing.

The moment the wall completely collasped, pain shot through out her whole body as the sound of bone cracking filled her ears. She could feel her bones mending eachother and her wounds healing, slowly subsiding the pain_wait, bones? Wounds? She wasn't suppose to have does, after all she was just a mist imprisoned in the mind of young Estella. She was nothing but a fragment of Estella's tainted soul that had been locked away inside of her along with her magic for some reason. So how comes...

Her eyes flew opened with a gasp as she sat up straight. She found herself inside something. Was she back in her prison?. No, this felt different, it felt like....she quickly put her hand up and felt something like a rope, she dragged it down and the light came on suddenly, blinding her abit. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, she looked down at herself, herself, she had a body, even though it also belonged to Estella.

Wait, Estella!?

She gasped. If she had taken over Estella's body, then it only meant one thing. A part of her soul was dead. The good and kind part that had always been the vessel of their body..was dead. She let out a soft sob as the feeling of loss settled in her, but that quickly changed into hot, blazzing anger. She did not snarl or scowl, no, she laughed. Her so called 'uncle' had killed a part of her soul, the good part that had prevented her from plucking their eyes out and feed them to some dog in the streets, The part that had been the reason the world still felt like a safe place for them. She laughed harder at that.

The Durleys have finally managed to get rid of sweet little Estella only to bring about the birth of the very epitome of evil.
