You had just had an argument with your boyfriend, Steve. You had walked home in the pouring rain that day after school and ran to your room. You laid down on your bed and sobbed. You sat up and wiped your tears and called your best friend, Jonathan Byers.
"Hey, are you OK?"
"Me and Steve had an argument today at school and I don't know if we broke up or not because he got really mad at me and he slapped me and I don't know what to do."
" don't worry. I'll try think of something to cheer you up tomorrow morning ok?"
"OK thank you."
You put your phone down as you listened to the end of dial tone.
Suddenly you broke down crying and started to hyperventilate. You slid down your bed onto the floor and grabbed your phone with shaking hands. You tried to dial Steve's number but your hands were shaking too much. You gave up and went to your window and took a few deep breaths in. You calmed down a bit before climbing out your window and walking to Steve's house. You knocked on the door and tapped your foot nervously on the floor. You tapped your fingertips together nervously. You were about to walk away until you heard the door open and Steve looked at you.
"Katie?"
"Steve." You said with shaky breath.
He hugged you and your breathing was becoming quick and shallow. Your hands started to shake again. Steve noticed and pulled you inside.
"Katie what's going on?"
You shook your head and started crying again. She caught you as you fell and slid down the door with you in his arms. He sat down with his back against the door and you in-between his legs. He wrapped his arms around your waist and you leant your head on his shoulder.
"Katie what's going on?"
"I can't breathe. I can't breathe."
He gripped your face and kissed you. Your breathing slowed down again and you pulled away slowly.
"Better?"
"Yeah. Thank you."
He nodded slowly and picked you up and took you to his room. He put you on the bed and sat next to you.
"Get some rest." He said.
"I'm OK."
"No you're not. Go to sleep."
You reluctantly lay down opposite Steve and fall asleep. He holds you in his arms and falls asleep with you.
