I was walking down the streets when I heard a sudden commotion. I turned. I saw a blonde boy that I recognized running from the third Hokage. He was the one with the Nine Tailed Fox inside of him, if I remember correct...
"Get back here!" He yelled. The boy just giggled. He noticed me staring at him though, and slowed down. Big mistake. The Third grabbed him and picked him up. "Give it back!"
He hesitantly handed him a bowl of insta-ramen. I almost laughed. All that for ramen?
The Third sighed and said, "We can't have seven year olds like you running around making such a ruckus!" Then he left.
The boy stared at me. Then he held out his hand. "Hi! I've seen you around school! I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" I shook it. "I'm Sasuke Uchiha."
"Nice to meet you."
"Why'd you steal the ramen?"
"Because I love ramen! I was gonna pay for it, anyway, but when he started chasing me I didn't have enough time to explain so I just started running."
"Ah, okay," I said. "Well, where are your parents?"
"They're...They're dead."
I blinked. "Oh. Well, I'm an orphan, too. I know it's bad. But...Let's stick together and be lonely with each other!"
Naruto stared at me. "For real?! You wanna be friends?!" He asked, grinning. I nodded. He smiled and took my hand.
"Come on! I'll treat you to some ramen!"
"Again with the ramen?"
"Well, what do you want to eat?"
"Tomatoes."
"Hey, I have some in my yard! Let's go!" He smiled. I did, too. We ran all the way to his house, giggling and grinning and feeling grateful for another person like us.
