Part 1 - Anastasia

It was a chilly day and me and my friends were sitting on the roof as usual.

We were a friend group. The perfect one in fact. It just hasn't been so perfect lately. Everyone is fighting and the fact we're even all up here is a miracle.

Well, Dana wasn't fighting with anyone. She never was.

"Guys, just drop it. We're in highschool and fighting over a boy is such a middle school thing." Dana says.

Dana might be nice but she kind of had a snobby tone. Yes we were fighting over a boy. Not any boy, MY BOYFRIEND! Racheal and Cassandra are after him as if they don't have their own boyfriends.

"It's my boyfriend, and they need to back the fuck off." I complain, glaring at both of them.

What happened to always putting each other's feelings first? Maybe they could've told me calmly. I still would've been mad, but I would get over it.

"He isn't going to be your boyfriend for much longer. I mean look at me! I'm fucking beautiful!" Cassandra exclaims, standing up.

I try not to giggle. Cassandra was full of herself and she got a new man everyday. So why come for mine?

Racheal just glares at all of us and then looks below the roof.

"Oh there he is, with Jessica." Racheal blurts out.

I scramble over to look. Jessica was his "girl bestfriend" and obviously I told him I didn't feel comfortable with her around, but he ignored me. She's more of a problem than Cassandra and Racheal.

Just as I'm about to scramble back to Dana, Cassandra grabs my arm. She looks over at Racheal who winks at her. What is going on?

"JESSICA! GET OVER HERE!" Racheal yells at the top of her lungs.

"What the hell? You know nobody is allowed up here besides us!" Dana hisses.

I mean, I secretly might've brought my other friends up here before, but Jessica up here? No.

"Dana, shut up. You ruin everything." Cassandra grumbles.

"I ruin everything? YOU ruin everything. Always talking about yourself when you're not even that cute!" Dana grumbles back.

Me and Racheal actually gasp. Well, Dana was obviously lying. Cassandra isn't just cute, she's beautiful. She has dark skin and pale brown eyes. Her hair is black and wavy, and she has a fake noise piecing too. Beautiful.

Cassandra looks like she's about to say something, but Jessica barges through the doors that lead to the roof.

"You guys called me? Yes?"

Cassandra and Racheal share a look.

"Yes actually. We just wanted to let you know not to hang around Jeremy anymore." Racheal responds.

"Um, what? He's my bestfriend."

"You always say that! Sorry to break it to you but he doesn't like you like that." Cassandra says, picking at her nails.

Jessica's right eye twitches. Which only happens when she's mad. So she has feeling for Jeremy? Can't opposite genders just stay bestfriends without catching feelings?

I was fine with Jessica at first, until I found out she was my competition. Nothing about looks, but she knows Jeremy better than I ever will.

He's always busy with her, they text all day everyday, and they always walk each other to class. We never get one on one time because of her.

"Fine. You guys clearly want me to confess my feelings for him. So there. I love him." She blurts out.

"Jessica, you know were dating right? I won't let your silly feelings get in the way of our relationship. Plus, he doesn't like you like that, as Racheal said earlier. You guys have NO chance together. So get over yourself." I say calmly.

Cassandra glares at me but then she quickly steps in front of Jessica. She grabs her by the arms and drags her to the end of the roof. My face goes pale as she shoves her towards Racheal.

They lured her up here. To kill her.

------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't bring myself to move to save her. For some reason I'm relieved someone is finally getting rid of her. I'm even jealous I wasn't involved. Then I remember they're about to kill an innocent girl for a stupid boy.

"Guys if your about to do what I think, nobody will forgive you guys." I reason stepping closer to Racheal.

"Oh yeah about that....you'll have to do it for me!"

What? Jessica hasn't even said a word and I'm afraid she's already dead. But she's just staring in shock. She doesn't deserve this. I need to find a way to get her and me off of this roof. Immediately.

I start looking around for an exit, when Racheal suddenly grabs me and pushes me into Jessica, sending her toppling off the roof.

I watch as her body thuds to the floor, and blood immediately starts spilling out. People start gathering around her body and looking up, to me.

They think I killed her. And I did. Except it wasn't my fault! This isn't fair. When I see Jeremy rushing up the the crowd I almost choke on air.

He'll never forgive me. He should be able to though, because I didn't do it!

Realization hits me hard. I killed someone. Even if it wasn't my intention. I just fucking killed someone.

I faint, overwhelmed with emotions.

To be continued....
