The Picnic

Sadie's POV
I opened my eyes and the first thing I did was check my phone. As I was hoping I had a message from Leo! :D

Leo99: Okay great! I'll pick you up around noon
SadieAngelo: Ok :)

I smiled. Me and Leo have become such good friends and maybe just maybe Leo will eventually get feelings towards me! I looked at the time. Holy Crap! It was 11! I bolt up straight.

" Sophie! Sasha! Get up! " I exclaimed while shaking my friends who were fast asleep.

" Uhhh what happened? " Sophie asked sleepily rubbing her eyes and sitting up.

" Ugh Sadie! Do you have to wake me up so early " Sasha complained, half asleep.

" IT'S 11 AND LEO IS GOING TO PICK ME UP AT 12! " I exclaimed. Both girls eyes shot open.

" We have so much work to do! Sadie go hit the showers! Me and Sophie will find something cute for you to wear! " Sasha exclaimed then pushed me into the washroom.

I turned on the tap and the hot water flowed down my body.

I wonder what the girls are gonna pick out, I thought as I turned off the tap, and stepped out of the shower.

Before leaving the bathroom I knocked on the door several times to make sure they weren't still in my room.

Ontop my bed was a cute light blue skirt, a white crop top, and a cream coloured cardigan.
I changed into my clothes and called Sophie and Sasha into the room.

" You look so cute Sadie! " Sophie exclaimed while clapping her hands together.

" This periwinkle ish light blueish colour suits you! " Sasha said then crossed her arms and stood back to stare at me as if she was admiring a completed work of art.

I smile then bowed.

" So what about my hair? " I asked.

" Hmmm....a side braid! " Sophie said coming to a conclusion.

" Genius! A side braid would look so cute! " Sasha added.

" Uh okay! " I said then grabbed my brush and a hair elastic.

I braided my hair down my right shoulder, and added a cute light blue bow.

" You look so pretty! " they both exclaimed.

" It's 11:30! We already made your breakfast, so eat that and we'll get started on making some sandwhichs and sweets " Sophie said then headed towards the kitchen, me and Sasha following close behind.

I ate the pancakes they made, and boy were they good! When I finished eating they already made 6 pb&j sandwhiches, 6 cream cheese sandwhichs, and 6 cupcakes! God how fast do does girls work!

My door bell rang and I nearly fell off the counter I was sitting on.

" He's here! " I exclaimed nervously.

" Calm down Sadie! You guys have gone places before, this isn't new " Sophie said.

" I know but this time it feels different! " I said.

" It's okay now go and open the door! " Sasha exclaimed and pushed me towards the door. Sophie and Sasha ran upstairs as I unlocked the door.

" Hey Leo! "

" Hi! So wanna go? "

" Yah one second, why dont you come in? " I said then motioned him to come inside.

Leo sat down in the living room while I packed the food. I quickly ran upstairs and into my room.

" Okay well I'm about to head out so.... "

" Okay have fun! " Sasha exclaimed.

" You guys are just gonna stay in my house? " I asked, awkwarded out.

" Yup! I'm sure your parents won't mind " Sophie said.

" We're joking! We're gonna leave " Sophie added.

The 3 of us went down stairs and left the house. Leo and I went one way and Sophie and Sasha went the other.

" So where are we going? " I asked.

" Just wait " Leo asked then took the basket from my hand.

" Uh okay " I said nervously.

This is so awkard! It seems like a date, but we arn't even dating!

" Close your eyes " Leo said. I closed my eyes and felt him grab my hand.

My heart skipped a beat. Leo lightly oulled me along. We stopped.

" Okay open your eyes now " he said softly.

I took a deep breath and opened my eyes. I was mezmorized. We were in a feild with beautiful flowers. The sun was shining. It literally looked like the perfect place for my ideal perfect date! I was hardley able to speak.

" Leo...this place is...beautiful ". Leo was smiling at me the whole time.

We sat down in a nice spot and started to eat and talk.

" I can't get over how beautiful this place is! "

" I used to come here a lot when I was younger " Leo said.

" Oh....I can see why " I said looking off into the distance.

" Stop pushing me! " I heard a voice say in a whisper. I looked around and saw no one. Weird, maybe I was just imagining it.

I took a bite out of my red velvet cupcake and looked up at Leo. He was tapping his hand on the basket and he looked really nervous. His face was red and he was shaking.

" Are you okay Leo?!? " I asked then rested my hand on his arm. He looked up so we were making eye contact. His face turned more red.

" I-I'm fine, thanks " he said shakily.

" Okay " I said then moved my hand.

" Um Sadie...can I ask you something? " Leo asked nervoisly.

" Sure...... " I said.

" Well....actually never mind " he said looking at the ground.

" Uhhh okay " I said awkwardy.

There was an awkard silence as we ate and avoided eye contact.

" Umm I have a lot of homework to do so I think I should get going....you can keep the food! And thanks for taking me here! Bye I'll text you later! " I exclaimed then got up and ran.

" Uh okay bye! " Leo exclaimed.

As soon as I was far away I stopped running and took several deep breaths. Man that was so awkward! I wonder what he was going to ask me though.

I texted Sophie and Sasha to meet me at the mall. When I got there they were waiting for me by the food court.

" WE SAW EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED! " the two of them exclaimed.

" WHAT?! YOU GUYS WERE SPYING ON US?!? " I shouted in disbelief.

" Mmhmmm " Sophie said then smirked.

" THAT'S WHO I HEARD! I KNEW I WASN'T GOING CRAZY! " I exclaimed then face palmed.

" Anyway what do you think Leo was going to ask you? " Sophie asked. I shrugged.

" Maybe he was going to ask you out! " Sasha teased. My face heated up.

" Eww never! Shut up! " I exclaimed then crossed my arms. We all started to laugh.

I wonder what he was going to say.....would he ever actually ask me out?
