Chapter 6

Dominic

I led her to Tia's room , when we walked in Mel was sitting next to her ,she was awake. Her mother rushed over to her. “ Mom ?” , “ Hey sweetheart are you okay?” .
“ Yea I'm fine , how did you get here ?” , “ Your Boss sent a private plane for me  ”. She just looked at me ,“ Thank you Mr Chase ”. '“ Tia”  , “Please Not now ,Not herer Chase  ” I looked at her . “ Okay I'll leave you ladies alone ”. Just then Tatiana walked in .  I walked back out to the waiting room and called  James . Now Jameson was retained by my grandfather . Anything you wanted done could be done for the right price . “ Jameson ” ,  “ Mr Chase, what can I do for you ?” , “ Alissa Jacques , she's pregnant, get rid of it ,make it look like an accident ,robbery whatever you want . She almost killed my fiance ”.

I didn't care if he thought I was a bastard ,but I knew she did this shit  .“ Very well Mr Chase , I'll let you know once it's done”. I ended the call and stood there. I needed to speak to Tia .She was pregnant. Was I ready to be a father ?. The answer to that question was No but somehow I wanted it with her.  I sat in the waiting room and called my mother , better if I told her now .or she's going to kill me.

Tia

When I opened my eyes I was looking at a white ceiling . I tried moving my left hand but  couldn't , I tried turning but it hurt . When I looked to my right Mel was sitting next to me. “ Hey babes ” , “ what the hell, where am I Mel ?” ,  “ Hospital , what do you remember ?” . That's when it came back to me . “ I remember leaving work ,then a car came out of nowhere , the last thing I remember was seeing the car  coming towards me then blank ”.  “ someone hit you ” , “  yea no shit no shit ”.

“ Tia there's something you need to know ” , “ Okay ”. She told me everything that Dominic told her Concerning Alissa. I didn't want to hope , I didn't want to believe that I could be with him. But what she said next  almost scared the life out of me “ You're Pregnant” No I wasn't , I couldn't be . I would know if I was pregnant. I was about to reply when he walked  in with my mother . I didn't want to do this here, not in front of my mother .  He left and so did Mel. Mom sat next to me holding my hand. “ I was so scared Tia ,I thought I would lose you ” , “ I'm okay mom I really am”. “ Did you know you were pregnant ?”.

They told her ?. Jesus Christ now she was going to worry. “ I didn't know mom ” , “ He says that  he wants to marry you” what the hell, where does he think he gets off by saying that shit. He probably said it so she won't be worried . “ Mom I'm not getting married and I'm a hundred percent sure I'm not pregnant”. “ Okay if you say so , I'll call  in and tell them I need some time off”.
“ Mom you don't have to do that , I'll be okay Mel and Tatiana are here ”. Just then a woman walked into the room , followed by Dominic ,His father and brother. What the hell was going on.

“ Hello Mrs Sommers  , I'm Elizabeth Chase. My son just told me everything and I can assure you that you have nothing to be worried about . We'll be taking Tia home with us and she will be taken care of as it is she's about to become my Daughter-in-law ”. Okay what the fuck was happening here. Elizabeth walked over to me ,she had a kind face , the face of someone who you could trust and rely on . “ Dominic, you didn't tell me she was this beautiful ”. “ I'm sorry  I don't understand what is happening here?”

“ I told my parents everything , You're pregnant and I know you and I'm hundred percent sure it's mine , there's no doubt about it. We're getting married ”. “ You're already engaged ,we can't get married and what if I don't want to get married ?”. Elizabeth just smiled .“ Why don't you men go out and leave us ladies alone for a while ”. They didn't hesitate , they walked out one by one leaving Me ,my mom and Elizabeth alone .  She sat next to me holding my hand. “ Alissa showed up claiming she's pregnant , if Dominic says it's not his then we believe it . We didn't want her running to the magazine's and creating a scandal so we just told her that they were engaged until they did a DNA test. She's a bit on the wild side ,not someone I would want as a daughter . I understand you're worried but you don't need to be . Do you know my husband and my son's have been speaking about you all morning? And everytime your name is mentioned Dominic has this smile on his face ”.

I just looked at her and mom. “ What if I'm not ready to give up my career to be a stay at home mom ,this is what I've always wanted ?” , she just smiled “ Don't be silly in our family the women rule the house  ,at the office the men can do whatever they wish . You don't need to give up your career , besides this will be our first grandchild and I'm not sure you'll even see your child because I'll always have him or her. No one is going to stop you from doing anything . You will make your own decisions. I'm a mother and I know my son . You're the first person he's ever Told is about , he was so Angry that he had to come back to New York ,but I'm guessing it was you because a few days after he started the office I would see him smiling ”.

“ You don't have to get married yet , whenever you're ready but please think about it. Allie That's Bennett's wife , already made it clear to the family that she'll never accept Alissa even if we do ” , “ Okay I'll think about it ” she looked at my mom “ Why don't the two of us go get something to drink and let her rest ” , “ Okay ”. After they left I just laid there staring at the ceiling. What was I going to do? This was too much ,so I started Crying .  I didn't hear the door open or the lock click in place .
“ Tia, are you okay ? Are you in pain ? Why are you crying?” , “ Leave me alone Dominic ”. He sat next to me and started caressing my face. “ You're the first woman That I've ever apologized to that isn't family ,the first that surprised me , the first that makes me want to actually settle down . It's not about the sex Tia it's about you. You're smart , amazing , kind . Your employees adore you because you're fair , you're not selfish, you give credit where it's due ,you don't back down , you're a hard worker and a determined and independent woman. And I would never change anything about you.”

I didn't say anything “ You are going to have my Child ,if you don't want to get married that's okay , if you don't want to stay with me that's okay too . As long as you give us a chance . I tried to explain about Alissa but you didn't want to hear it . Since I met you I haven't touched anyone else because I don't want to ,I can't you're all I think about ,I want you, only you , please give us a chance ” . “ Okay ” he looked at me surprised “ Really ?”
“ Yes ” there wasn't anything else I could do.
