"Because this is my happy ending" The Evil Queen spoke as two black knights hurry into the room. One black knight was carrying a small, cream knitted blanket in their arms. The Queen turns to face her loyal subjects and questions, whilst motioning to the small blanket within their arms "The child?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. We found her in what appeared to be a wardrobe." The knight spoke, handing the small newborn to the Queen, who started crying the second she was placed in her arms.

"It didn't work. Why didn't it work?" Snow whispered, clutching onto Charming tightly. The Evil Queen, chuckling under her breath at the sight of the distraught Princess before her, turned back towards Snow and a lifeless Charming.

"Don't you see dear, you've lost everything. I've won. Don't worry, in a few moments, you won't remember you knew your prince, or your, well should I say, MY daughter, let alone loved them" the Queen speaks, letting out a malevolent grin as the purple mist of the Dark Curse surrounds them, filling the room, enveloping EVERYTHING...

STORYBROOKE, MOMENTS LATER

Regina Mills awoke suddenly, to the sound of a newborn's cry. Confusion swept over her momentarily, before she looked around and took in her surroundings. She was definitely NOT in her castle anymore- the walls weren't... stone? They were painted an almost cream, with a double bed pushed up against the wall bearing a small door (well, small compared to the castle's grand doorways, anyway), no balcony present. It was instead replaced with a very traditional looking, tall window.

It wasn't like anything she was used to. It felt... different. She was in some strange house, not a castle, and who knows what land she was in.

She did it. She had successfully cast the curse! Sitting up in the queen size bed, Regina ran her hands through her hair, to find it stop at her shoulders. A smile broke on her face, bigger than she had ever smiled before. She won. She FINALLY beat Snow White.

A ear-piercing screech snapped her back to reality, SNOW WHITE's newborn baby calling for the attention of the Evil Queen, or the MAYOR of Storybrooke as she is now known as. Crawling out of bed, Regina followed the sounds of the baby to the room just to the left of her own. Upon opening the door, Regina was overwhelmed by its beauty and homage to their fairytale beginnings. The sight made her tear up slightly; this was all she had dreamed she could have for herself, except with Daniel by her side, not from stealing Snow White's baby after their escape plan had failed.

The nursery was decorated so elegantly, but so accommodating for a newborn baby. A stunning mural of two magical trees painted on a feature wall stood out to her the most, reminding her of what innocence once consumed the Enchanted Forest. Gorgeous wooden floors, covered ever so slightly with a fur rug, placed just in front of the crib, where baby Emma laid, screaming for God knows what.

Regina took a deep breath before reaching into the crib to pick up Emma and comfort her, only to realise that she has never dealt with a baby before. How is she supposed to hold a babe so young? She awkwardly shifted Emma in her arms, finding the position that kept the child the quietest, which was proving extremely difficult.

"What could you want, little one?" the Queen addressed the babe, whom she cradled close to her chest in an attempt to soothe her. "Food? Changing?"

Mary Margaret Blanchard was on her way to the hospital to do her rounds, when she passed Mayor Mills' mansion, the sound of screeching and crashing came from within, scaring the small woman. Snow White was no more, and here stood Mary Margaret Blanchard- a slim, small woman with a pixie cut, the only resemblance to Snow White was her white skin and dark black hair. Oh, and of course, her personality. The desire to help anyone and anything in need, the loving, motherly nature that is Snow White still remained.
