It was no use... the infected were spreading like a case of chicken pox.. Bambi... Everyone.. they've been infected.

Bandu gently took a hold of Dave's hand. It felt like just yesterday everything was fine. Bambi yelling about people stealing his corn down to Dave teaching the kids algebra.. and now, here we are, almost surrounded by the people who used to be our loved ones. "Bandu.." Dave gave Bandu's hand a gentle squeeze. "It's going to be okay 💙"  he said, turning to Bandu giving him an reassuring smile. But..very deep down in the man's heart he knew,

Nothing is going to be okay. This could be his very last moments with his lover.

"I.. don't want to die davey.." Bandu began to say, tears starting to form in his eyes. "Not..like this." He wanted to grow old with Dave until the end of time itself. The sight made Dave frown. He hated seeing his beloved upset.. but sadly, time is not on their side so he needed to think fast.

He knew there was no way both of them could escape together.
Dave couldn't let Bandu go through that pain, so..he decided it would be him. He couldnt dare put bandu in harms way.

"Bandu," Dave is giving bandu an sad smile. Bandu looked at dave, eyes still dripping like rain drops. "Please dont tell me your not planning to do what i think your going to do.." he said, frowning more. "Im sorry.. But this is the only way. There isnt much time and we-" before he could finish bandu interupted him." w-we could go together!.. Please.. Dont do this..!" bandu smiled sadly his face was stained even more with tears.

He didnt want this.. He didnt want this to be the only way.. He didnt want to lose him.

Dave shook his head no, trying not to cry himself. He reached into his backpack and gave bandu his spare blue turtle neck sweater. "Please bandu.. When i say go, run away as far as you can!" before bandu could protest once more dave began his count down.

He rolled quickly into the infected. Dave was slowly but quickly began to turn. Bandu felt his whole world shattered before him, before his very eyes.. but he did what Dave asked of him, He started to run away.

Before he could let the infection take whole of him Dave made sure to stop the other infections from grabbing his lover. He smiled sadly as we watched his love run.

"I..will..always love.." he began to struggle but used the last of the energy he had left to force it out. "You" Dave gave an weak smile before letting infection consume him fully.
