Mummies

Louisa's p.o.v

"Nice one, Shorty!" Raph yells out before Donnie looks around saying "well, this is a tomb, it's gotta be Anubis" I don't bother to ask. The ceiling stops though, so I sigh in relief- that's when the ceiling starts going down again. I scream in pain as I feel my body being used against its limit and my ice melts causing me to fall. "Good instinct, Donnie! Nice" Sam says with a bit of sarcasm, I groan as I lay here. Someone helps me up as I hear April say "hurry, just pick one!!" Renet then says "but don't pick wrong."

'That isn't going to help-' "we're running out of time!" Renet yells out as Raph is screaming in pain, we're all actually getting close to being squished. My eyes widen as I whimper softly- that's when the ceiling starts to go back up again. April was the one who realized what Mikey pushed to save us, so she smiles over at him. "How did you know to pick the crocodile?" She asks before Mikey smiles right back at her. His answer was- "he looks like Leatherhead, and he's the best protector a turtle could ever have."

I chuckle softly before Renet says "of course! That's Sobek! He was the protector of the King" then she pecked Mikey on the cheek. He smiles with a dazed look- "Mikey, you're the bee's fleas!" Renet says again happily. Something else moved which got our attention and see there's now a set of stairs out now. We walk down and see it's dark in here- along with a few mummies too "far out!.." Renet says amused. Then she says "it's very unusual to have so many mummies buried in one tomb" I think that over.

I was going to believe it and keep going, but Donnie decides to state his fact that he knows in his head "well, not necessarily. Often families would reuse the same coffins and move the old mummies out" Donnie says to us. Casey just waves him off saying "yeah yeah - very interesting, Dorkatello" Donnie glares at him. Mikey got us back on track saying "they're not so scary though, they're just wrinkly and smelly- and have terrible fashion sense." Sam chuckled a bit as April actually starts to talk now "actually, the wrappings are part of the mummification process."

'This is boring-' "I think they preserve the bodies for the afterlife by removing organs-" "okay, we get it!!" Sam says annoyed. Raph agreed while saying "enough history lessons already, sheesh!!" Casey sounded a bit distracted every few seconds. Though I don't bother looking since I feel like he could just be getting paranoid from seeing the mummies. "Ha! Very funny, Raphie - I know that's you behind me, yo" Casey says a bit in triumph. Raph sounded closer to me than Casey which confused me "what are you talking about?" Was Raph's response.

I look back and see something pop up on Casey's shoulder which freaked me out a bit, Mikey just screams "mummy hand!!!" Then he threw the hand. The mummies are walking towards us, so I stuck by Donnie since this looks freaky as Leo sliced at the mummies' hands. Something sliding got my attention, looking back I see a mummy aimed right for me. I yelp as I froze it in place, Raph ran down the stairs a bit to see more mummies, so we follow after. "Quickly! Downstairs!!" Renet yells which made us all start running 'I shouldn't be scared. I'm a literal vampire!'

It didn't take long before something else went wrong and now the stairs turned into a ramp to make us slide to our death. I jump and start floating to see that the group could die- Sam grabbed out her grappling hook though. She aimed it at the ceiling and ended up saving everyone else except for Donnie, April and Casey. Donnie saved himself with his bo-staff as Casey was on his shell and Donnie barely caught April's hand. I fly over to the other side as Leo says "try reaching the other side!" April grabbed her grappling hook.

'Oh no...' I think as she aimed and missed, so I grab it and freeze my feet in place as I say "come on! I got you guys" with that she went up. Casey was next, Sam had to throw a mummy off her as Donnie went next, then it was Sam. I grunt as I try to hold them up, but next was Leo, Raph, Renet- lastly was Mikey as Casey helps me. Mummies are all over him as he continues to climb, so I try not to freak out as their hollow eyes looking at me. Renet helped out as she hit the mummies off of him and helps him up here with us.

After a second I fly over and grab Donnie's bo-staff before flying back over to the group as Renet says "we're here" so I look up. Donnie accepted his bo-staff from me as we all look forward "the Pharoah's chamber" she added. We walk down this hallway as I hold Donnie's hand, everything is dark as we look around. "Amazing.. a completely undisturbed burial chamber of a Pharaoh" Donnie says as he pulled me to look around with him. I smile at how happy he sounds- but something sounds like it's moving which got me confused.

I wrap my tail around my waist as we all look around- a light goes on as we're now able to see where the coffin is up there. 'At least I think that's what it's called' I think as we look up there "yes! And we made it before that Savanti guy" Casey says happily. Renet then adds "that is the cat's pajamas!" I smile as we're all still looking up. Though Raph puts his hands to his hips saying "there's no way that chump is getting the Mummy now." Mikey happily adds "booyakabunga~.." something groans from the coffin though.
