Chapter 9: You're An Alpha

Getting used having two wolves is not easy. Especially that they have two opposite personalities. Eden is soft spoken, sweet and demure, while Eren is frank, snarky and hot blooded. If there is only similarity between me and Eren is that I am sometimes snarky. Maybe I got that from her?

After a lot of conversations with the two over the weekend, we found a few answers as to why their presence was hurting me. It wasn't Eren's presence that was hurting me since I was completely fine when I was 9, when she said she woke up. It was because they keep on arguing in silence, which I wish they just do when they argue. It was the war between them that causes me to be weaker and weaker.

Thankfully, with me getting in between them, they are mostly calm. But my head is not. Constantly hearing them bantering is going to kill me.

I walk into the school beside Mateo when I see Ariana and Charlie on the bleachers.

"Are they a thing?" I ask Mateo.

"I dunno." Mateo shrugged. "Ariana's been tailing Charlie for a while now. She must have gotten tired of Aries."

It is not a secret to me and my trainee mates that Ariana has or had a thing for Aries. She just turned 18 recently and is bound to meet her mate but we have not heard anything about her mate. She is not even marked. I wonder if she's already met her mate.

"What if Charlie is her mate?" I ask Mateo. He stops on his tracks and looks at Charlie and Ariana. Mateo wrinkles his forehead and presses his lips before shaking his head.

"Nah." Mateo concludes. "Ariana likes Charlie, but Charlie doesn't feel the same. You know that look on Charlie's face? He's just simply hanging out. Knowing Charlie, he wouldn't settle for a bully."

Thinking back, Ariana is indeed a bully. Always taking advantage of her strength because she is stronger than most students. But the only people she only makes fun of are students coming from Alpha and Beta families. She doesn't make fun of weaker people from Gamma or Omega lines. Which is why I am compelled to believe that she has bitter blood against Alphas and Betas. But she's trying too hard to flirt with a future Alpha. Or is she that power hungry?

Charlie spotted us from where they were sitting. Charlie smiled and Ariana grimaced. Shoot, I know that look.

'What's with this Ariana girl, she smells like she's always up for blood bath.' Eren tells me.

'Ignore her.' I tell her and proceed to get into my classes.

"So, how was it?" Kara whispers to me. She is the only student that knows about me, having two wolves.

'This should be kept a secret. Once this secret falls into the wrong ears, it will be dangerous.' Nana says.

So far, the only people that know about Eden and Eren are Mateo, Aries, Kara, nana, my parents, Simon and Beta Luca. Charlie, his parents and Aries' parents will soon find out when the three Alphas will gather for a meeting.

"Pain." I tell Kara. "They keep on arguing!" I whisper.

"Can't they argue silently? I mean, they've been talking for years, right?"

"I wish. But my awareness of them makes it impossible."

Kara looks at me apologetically and caresses my shoulder, feigning concern.

"Stop," I tell her. "You're not helping."

She lets out a giggle and raises her hand in surrender.

"Does Aries know?"

"Sort of." I answer. "But he was the first to know."

"Wow, looking out for you, eh?" She says teasingly and nudges at me. She stops when she realises that I wasn't smiling.
