Sunset shuddered with the memory of the horrifying monsters she saw. She had finished watching a video of her older brother, Joy Stick, play a game. Raspy Hill. "That's enough for one night..." She nervously laughed. She was only 12. Jumpscares could take her by surprise with perfect timing. Her eyes then wandered onto a video. The video saying the October Terror or whatever had ended.
"Ok, one more.." She laughed. Sunset whipped her head back to clear her face of her red and yellow hair. She might as well enjoy it while she has it, for it would be almost boy-length short in just a week. As she clicked the video, Joy's face soon popped up. Sunset's eyes widened slightly.
Joy Stick was staring into the camera, with cold, lifeless eyes. He looked serious, cold, almost as if he hadn't slept for 2 days straight. The video was black and white. As she watched his head thrash about at times with glowing white eyes for only mere seconds, she heard a voice. A chilling, venomous voice she almost never heard from Joy. It sounded as if he were talking through a fan..
"You're safe now... Go home, be free. But remember... Terror is always near..."
Out of fear, Sunset shut the laptop and put it to the side, off her bed. Her head fell into her hands, as she tried to convince herself it was ok. That it was just some character. It had to be a character.
But on the other hand, sometimes she did catch Joy in being... Unusual. But he said not to worry about it. She usually took his advice to not worry about it, now she's not so sure..
Now shaking at the memories of the horrifying faces of the game, Joy's terrifying eyes, and the feeling she felt as if someone was watching her, she tried to soothe herself. "I-It's nothing.. You're gonna be fine. This 'evil Joy' thing is totally fake.. Right?"
She tried listening to music, she tried styling her hair, she tried talking to herself, she tried singing. Nothing. Sunset finally turned off the light and nearly flew into bed. She never felt more uncomfortable in her life. Her eyes would close but she was always awake. She expected to see those same, lifeless eyes staring at her every time she turned or opened her eyes.
Groaning in frustration, Sunset turned to face the ceiling, where her lights made a soft glow around her window. A familiar voice jolted her from her thoughts. "Hello everybody, my name is Joy Stick!" A let's play? At 2:00 in the morning? "What the hell is he doing now..." muttered Sunset.
Sunset got out of bed, her purple pajamas with little flowers clinging to her almost. She peeked into the room across from her to see Joy Stick playing some kind of scary game.
One Night at Flumpty's, read the title. Sunset rolled her eyes. Another FNaF copy, or "parody". Guess that's what happens when you can't find anything else to play.
With Joy suddenly turning his head, Sunset put her body against the wall so he couldn't see her, and dashed back to her bed once it was all clear. Her eyelids could barely keep open this time. Don't fall asleep.. She thought to herself over and over again. It was no use. Darkness washed over her as she suddenly felt as if she were floating...
Sunset Shimmer felt a chill run down her spine. Her eyes opened for her clothes to be ragged and dirty, her hair was a mess, and she was surrounded by darkness and trees. "H-Hello?" The tween's voice was hoarse. "Joy Stick? Rainbow Dash?" Rainbow Dash was her best friend. They treated each other like sisters, almost. She wobbled as her feet touched solid ground. "Where am I?" She whispered, walking around. Her heart began to beat faster. Nothing was heard. No owls, no Joy, no Rainbow, nothing. Just the sound of Sunset's progressively quickening breathing and the sound of her footsteps.
She looked up at the moon and stars. Branches nearly covered them. She shuddered, becoming afraid. "I-It's ok," she shakily told herself. "You can do this!" But no matter how much she ran, she always seemed to be slow. She stopped as something caught the corner of her eye. She whirled around to see...
