gwen was terrified of going back to school considering new people joined, she had just gotten used to her regular classmates shes known for years prior, she hated the thought of interacting with anyone other than the ones she knew, besides teachers and the only reason she'd ever interact with peers unless she absolutely positively had to.
she walked into the building shaking and frantic, she even ran into the bathroom at first and cried a bit, although it might seem like a dumb reason to some she was really emotional and anxious.
she then unpacked and placed her stuff onto the ground near the bottom locker, under hers. after a bit of settling in she walked into the classroom and was greeted by jordyn.
jordyn went on about how she hadnt seen gwen in forever and how gwen needed to get the tea, and then she was cut off by natalia making a snarky comment that only jordyn heard.
once natalia said that jordyn got so upset she told natalia to replace her braids and get her hair done, pretty much after that gwen looked over at a red faced girl, and a girl with burnt auburn hair and dark brown roots.
she waved at them and they waved back, after she learned their names, and began talking to them more, she saw an emma sticker on the red faced girls binder. "why is their food on your binder?" she giggled to herself, once the red faced girl got it she giggled. "also im rose." the red faced girl said. "oh amber told me" the girl with the dark roots smiled at rose. "amber- why must you steal my thunder" she giggled along with amber.
after a bit in first period amber and gwen started talking and making inside jokes, rose looked at gwen in disgust. and jealousy, she stared her down but gwen payed no attention, rose would try to take amber away but gwen asked. "why are you taking her away-?" rose responded with. "we need to do something" they then went to the bathroom and talked about who knows what.
when they came back gwen moved back to her seat and listened to the rest of the lesson.
nothing important happened at lunch but rose looking at gwen and whispering to amber who wasnt even listening.
once period 2 rolled around gwen sat by herself, but someone behind her was being bullied by two boys in their class, she listened how they told the girl she was gross, and how she stinks, and how ugly she was. gwen didnt mind their words, but once she saw the girl looking at her feet saying nothing she went over to her and talked to her but the girl, mentioned her name "im natalia, but please call me nat." gwen nodded and became friends with her but once it was almost time to go natalia had already talken gwens ear off. gwen, needed space she walked infront of the line and basically completely ignored her.
once they got into period 3 gwen sat with tameka and cecelia, they were play fighting like crazy and giggling. gwen got moved, once again her being antisocial because of the covid spike really affected her so she moved to where people that looked nice. she didnt really speak to any of them.
after she went home. she flopped onto her bed and pet her cat winnie, "oh today was terrible." she kissed his head and gave him some head pats. then, she stood up and fed him before taking a nap.

the next day she came back with a better state of mind just to find out half of the teachers werent there so she'd get split up with 7th grade, she sighed. "atleast i have first period." she'd walked into her math class and saw two girls arguing. eli stood up and started arguing with desire, and started swinging gwen put her head down and giggled the fight was pathetic, they decided to disperse them early since the fighting so she got sent to a 7th grade classroom.
she sat in a seat and noticed someone from her class, "hey dont talk to her, shes mean. even to her friends." a 7th grader said.
gwen stared at her "who her?" gwen asked. "yeah thats katherine shes a bully." another 7th grader said.
gwen went over to her and started talking to her, to her surprise katherine was rather nice to her, she let her use some of her markers and they both decided to draw a picture together, the 7th grade teacher put on a 'how hot dogs were made' video for the kids and they all screamed in disgust as katherine and gwen giggled, they went to 8th grade science, and a person with long brown hair and a black cloth mask waved at them "hi im novae." they waved back, and talked about nothing novae then told them a series of diluc dad jokes, and childe jokes they then started talking about nothing, they all realized they had alot in common, once dismissal came gwen was so happy to say she made so many friends for the two days shes been there. once they got back to the classroom she ran out and opened her locker, and took her stuff out and put all her books in it once she did that she put on the backpack and walked back inside, novae and katherine left, along with rose leaving amber with gwen. they started cracking jokes and poking fun at pretty much nothing really then when time rolled around for amber to go she gave gwen a hug but not a normal hug a loving hug, and even though gwen and her just met she felt a flutter in her heart as if she was inlove, but it wasnt like she believed it could be that way, they were friends, but were they? thats when gwen realized this year wasnt going to be as bad as she had pictured, but she also knew she needed to be closer to amber she felt it deep in her heart she longed for amber, even though it was only a hug it meant so much to her no one could express so much love with just a hug. she wanted, No, needed more of amber.
