You moved cautiously. Quietly. One wrong move and security would surely be notified. Even in the thick of a forest, the lab you were approaching was guarded well. Your target: the head scientist; a man cultivating some sort of paralytic drug that needed to be halted. You were told to only eliminate the target and send photos for proof, anything else done was a personal choice of yours. This job was supposed to be private, but the Hunter's Association caught wind of the drug and wanted in on it as well. For research purposes of course, but now you had a long string of people to report to apart from your client. It was a little messy, but the less you knew, the better. It was easier to be an assassin if you didn't think about the familial repercussions of your targets.
Bless the usage of nen for moments like this. Using your well tuned 'in', you completely shrouded yourself from the world around you and snuck up on the lab through the bushes. The place stuck out like a sore thumb, white amongst green, and thankfully any exterior guards were gone, just as you were told they would be at this time. Entry would be easy, but something else white stuck out between the foliage as you got closer.
You panicked and held your position, examining the body that shouldn't be there. He was quite a tall and slender man, eyeing the facility with eyes overshadowed by a blue hat and a disgruntled expression. His hair was long and white; so was his shirt, which was the cause of your initial panic. You thought it was someone in a lab coat, but clearly this was someone equally as pissed off at this lab's presence much like your client, and by extension yourself. This person was also using 'in' to cloak himself, though not as intensely as you were. He was a hunter for sure. Perhaps you would introduce yourself, since the chances of him seeing you sneak in were quite high anyway. You quietly crept up behind him until you were only a few feet away, ready to reveal yourself. Usually your judge of character was good, so there was no harm in doing so. You hoped.
"The Association didn't tell me I'd have someone joining me on today's mission. Who might you be?" You spoke smoothly, easing off of the intensity of your 'in'.
The man visibly jolted with panic and whipped around to see you crouched casually on the ground behind him. His usual response would be to immediately fight whatever snuck up behind him, but you flashed your hunter's license in hand and whisked away any concern, that being enough to stop him before you surely got your head ripped off.
"A hunter... Who are you?" He spoke cautiously.
His voice was deep and smooth, a match to his handsome features that you were now blessed to be able to see head on. You smirked, slipping your card back in your pocket while you plopped down onto the dirt.
"Hey now, I asked you first~." You teased.
"... Kite."
"Ah! As in the Kite? Ging's apprentice? What an honour!" You said in surprise. "No one told me you'd be handsome. That's besides the point though. What are you doing here? This was supposed to be a solo mission for me."
"Mission? So someone picked up on this place then..." He mumbled. "What type of work do you do?"
"Classified. I'd say my business is unspecified, but if you want a hint, I usually work alone by contract. The association only picked up on my client once they discovered exactly what was going on here." You informed him, still being vague. "What about you, mysterious Kite?"
"Unspecified as well; if we're going to be so secretive."
"The man has jokes. I like it." You hummed. "Anyway, I assume you're aware of what's going on in this lab then?"
"I am. I watch over this sector of land, and noticed far too much wildlife dying off. The further I looked into it, the worse it seemed. I came to collect information and put a stop to the rapid decline of wildlife." He explained.
