Gentle rays of sunlight surround us with warmth, as this peaceful yet average Sunday ends before us. Isla and I quietly walk through the bumpy meadows that were shaded with the colors of the sunset. Every once and awhile, the wind would pick up it's speed which, in result, affects the once delicate swaying motion of the weeds.
"5:30's best then?" I mumble with a sigh.
All that could be heard was the cicadas on the trees getting louder and the weeds moving left to right.
"Isla, you there?" She looked up at the sky.
"Right here, love. We're lucky we could walk this late, thanks to my parents being gone all day." My arm tightens around her arm.Ah yes, guardians who gaslight us into believing that everything they say is true. Lovely.
"Hmmm I'd say that problem counts as a "soon-to-be-dealt-with" kinda problem."
Although I don't mean all of that (as a matter of fact, I am very much afraid of my own girlfriend's parents), I said it loosen up the mood a little and although words never came out of her, the small smile of worry said it all. I withdrew from the body lock brought her hand closer to face so I could lay a light peck on the part.
"My dear lady, mind if I take the picture of your beauty?" she smiled sheepishly however, those eyes of hers couldn't conceal the eagerness.
"If this makes you that happy, then I'll take a picture of you every single second." I whisper as I capture this beautiful moment.
The outfit she wore truly did clash with the scenery behind her, but somehow brought the aura closer as well. The light green dress shirt, she wore (which, not to brag, was found in my closet.) with small watermelons on it, fought for dominance against the sky's overfilling amount of pink and purple hues while her dark green cargos won against the colorless grass underneath. The sun behind my personal model made it look as if she was an angel with the bright rays which outlined her figure. The smile expressed could easily outshine the sun if it wasn't behind her.
After capturing those moments, one word came into mind: beautiful very well knowing that "beautiful" couldn't express the beauty that was awed upon.
"Hey, are you done?!" She got up, gently picking out the leaves from her pants.
"Lemme see the picture, now, Come on!"
I felt the weight in my hands suddenly disappear, only then did I realize that this goddess-like human being took my camera and proceeded to take a look at the pictures.
I blush in exchange of that honor.
Looking back at me, she smiled, eyes beaming. "Would you look at that?"
I look over at what Isla had zoomed into, "There's two birds on the ground." As matter of fact, there were. They looked as if they were close to Isla but seemed to be a few meadows away, covered in black and the sun's rays outlining their figures as well.
"They're gone now and we should be heading home soon as well."
Next thing I know, I'm back at my 2 bedroom apartment with the sound of the dishwasher running and the non-binary flag in front of me.

AN: I'd like to clarify that Oliver goes by the pronouns they/them and they are non-binary (as the flag they have represents) while Isla goes by She/They and she is a beautiful (as their lover has expressed many times, in great depths as well) young girl.
