CHAPTER SEVEN

Moments later, I'm following her into the kitchen. Yet, I was unprepared for meeting the dads. I certainly wasn't prepared for finding out that her dads aren't gay. No, they're freaking brother's twins to be exact. Holy shit! Her mum is with twins. She's married to twin brothers and no, I didn't forget there were twins there last night too. Billie's aunts are twins. Then when her gran had shown up, I noticed she walked in with a set of twins too. Ones that look an awful lot like Billie's dads. Holy fuck this is confusing the shit out of me.

"Don't look so worried kid. We won't bite."
The one they call Gelus says, and then Luca said something that kinda worries me, but I get it.

"Speak for yourself, bro. Trust me, if you so much as harm a hair on her beautiful head, I'll hunt you down. I'll make sure you'll wish you'd never thrown that damn ball at her head."
As he said this, Marley, his wife tells him to behave.
"I won't sir. Believe me, I'll never hurt her not intentionally anyway. Last night Well, I kinda freaked out a little. I-I'm not a fan of hospitals. Not since my dad had left us."
Luca asked where he went and that's when his wife again nudges him, making him look at her and then back to me.
"He died sir, brain hem-ridge. Sadly, he'd collapsed on the pitch while my family and me, watched on. A few days later he passed away. I guess it's something you know stays with you."
Marley nods her head while wiping away a few tears.
"Yeah, I know I know it all too well."
We sit in silence for a bit, and then I ask them I ask for permission to wake her up.
"I-I have her bag and, I um, would like to apologise to her. I feel so bad, you know."
All three sets of eyes, stare back at me, but then both her dads, snap their eyes at Marley when she tells me, where her room is.
"I swear I just want to talk to her I promise no funny business. I'll even keep the door open."

A few minutes later, I'm walking to her room. I find it straight away. Her name is on it with a sticker of a hand the one that's giving the middle finger gesture. Seeing this though. Well, it makes me grin. Only as I give her door a little tap before opening it. That grin's wiped off my face when I see her. Billie, my angel is there. She's there in her bed only she's not alone. No, she's with him with the fucker who'd made her cry.
The one she calls Zealie is there. They're wrapped in each other's arms. While seeing this, I can feel my heart being crushed. Fuck, I should not have left her. I should've stayed. FUCK!
I turn away. Once again I walk away from her, from my angel. Well from who I thought was my angel. Boy, how wrong was I? I was sure so sure that she was it. I was certain she was the one. I'd felt it the moment I'd spotted her in the stadium seats I'd watched her. I couldn't keep my eyes off her. She'd taken my breath away.

"Oh hey, Jax, did you find her room? I can show you if."
I sighed with a heavy heart and then swallow a lump down before faking being okay.
"No-no, it's okay! I'd found her room okay. She's just, sleeping still. Well, I didn't want to wake her because she looked so peaceful. I've left her bag in her room though, so she'll know I've been.
Thanks for the tea, Mrs Lawrence. It was nice to you know finally meet you too."
She smiled and surprised me when she takes hold of my hand.
"You're a good boy I see why she likes you so much. You know, you're the first boy, I've seen her get tongue-tied about."

She chuckled and I end up swallowing another lump down after hearing her words. It makes it so hard now. Walking away from her, away from my angel is so hard to do.

"I have to be honest with you, Mrs Lawrence. She's perfect. Billie is. Well, she'll always be my angel.
Anyway, I best get going. Thanks again you know for the tea."

She tilts her head with a confused grin on her face. She's probably wondering why I'm saying it like I'm saying goodbye. Well, that's because I am. I am saying goodbye.
