Y/N had only just come back from a family holiday when she heard the news of her boyfriend going on the run and into hiding for a murder that he did not commit— Chrissy and Y/N weren't best friends but they were close, they hung out a few times and always had the best times together, Chrissy was in fact the first person that Y/N told about her dating Eddie because she knew Chrissy wouldn't judge her or anything.
Y/N and Eddie were very different stylistically he was a rock boy who seemed a little odd to anyone who he wasn't friends with which was a large group of people, he played Dungeons and Dragons so he obviously wasn't very popular. Y/N was a sweet girl who dressed in between grunge and indie, she was a popular girl with everyone and she didn't have a particular group but she just floated around different groups but she was loved by all and disliked by a very very few select of people.
So when she heard about the death of Chrissy she was of course heartbroken about her friend but was even more so when she found out that Eddie was the main suspect since she was found dead and mangled in his trailer where he lived with his uncle, she knew she needed to find him and ask him loads of questions, Y/N's mind was running at a wild rate she was confused as to why her friend was at her boyfriends place late at night— Eddie wasn't a cheat he loved Y/N so much and she knew that and trusted him so much it was just weird why Chrissy was there very very late at night.
Y/N followed her friends Steve and Robin who she worked with at the movie rental place, they didn't know she had followed them through the forest with Dustin, Max, Nancy and Lucas. She stayed a good few paces behind them and she was doing so well not getting noticed it wasn't until she stepped on a branch and it snapped
'Who's there?' Steve calls out, Y/N trips over and stumbles through a bush causing her to groan in pain. When she gathered herself up and brushed the dirt and stuff out of her H/C she looked at the group but yet she couldn't see her boyfriend
"Y/N?" Lucas said in shock
"Where is he?" Y/N got straight to the point
"Where's who?" Max asked obviously lying
"Please don't take me for an idiot. I have just come back from a week long holiday and I find out my boyfriend is the main suspect in a murder case, don't anger me guys please because whenever something happens in this town you lot are always linked so I'll be damned if I'm going to just ignore all the obvious signs that you know where Eddie is and you have been hiding him." Y/N said seriously, the group shared a look and they weren't going to budge on this "Fine you won't tell me I'll just go to the police and tell them that you have been hiding a wanted murderer." Y/N threatened— that's when Eddie came out from behind a huge bolder and he looked at his girlfriend with sadness in his eyes. "Oh Eddie." Y/N sighed as she walked over and hugged him tightly
"I'm so so sorry Y/N." He mumbled into her shoulder
"What have you done?" She asked seriously "Why was Chrissy at your place late at night?" Y/N asked her boyfriend,
"She was buying drugs from me in the forest near school but she wanted something stronger so I told her to come to the trailer later that night, I don't know what happened but her eyes were gone and instead blood was poring out of them, her body was mangled and broken I swear Y/N you have to believe me." Eddie begged
"Of course I believe you Eddie, you haven't got a violent bone in your body." Y/N teared up before kissing her boyfriend lovingly, "You guys should've told me as soon as I got home instead of hiding him from me. I get you wanted to help him with all this Mind Flayer shit but Eddie and I have been together for a long time I needed to know this."
"We're sorry Y/N we didn't think, but this is so much bigger now then it was a couple of years ago." Steve said
"Wait you know about all this creepy shit?" Eddie turned to look down at Y/N
"I worked at Star Mall with Steve and Robin when all this stuff happened, it was crazy— remember how I told you about my ex boyfriend Billy, Max's brother?" Y/N said and Eddie nodded his head "He died saving their friend Eleven, he had been possessed by the Mind Flayer and in the end it killed him, it shot a tentacle through his chest and he died in my arms, but I promise you Eddie I will not let any of that happen to you. I couldn't save Billy it was too late for him but I will help you." Y/N told her boyfriend
"This is too dangerous now Y/N." Dustin said seriously
"With all due respect you lot have kept my boyfriend hidden away from me for three whole weeks, you don't get a say in this anymore I am going to help my boyfriend clear his name and that is final, anyone who doesn't like that then I suggest you leave through this forest and go because I am not changing my mind and I am not losing another person who I love to this bullshit." Y/N expressed and everyone shared a glance but didn't say a word no one was going to argue with her on this she was going to protect Eddie with her life.
