There once was a man named Caleb who had a decent job and decent salary. But then, a sudden traumatic event shattered his whole life and led him to kill himself. However, after getting reincarnated as anime character, his life has started all over again.

While strolling through the park with twins West and Wade, Caleb met a blonde girl named Aubrey online through Tinder. She was the complete package! Pretty eyes, long hair, cute personality... she had it all! Caleb couldn't believe his luck! He thought to himself, "I finally found 'the one' and she even came with a two-for-one deal!"

Right away, Caleb started dating Aubrey. He worked hard to support her, he would buy any item she requested, even dreamed of buying a ring so he would someday be able to propose to her if only he had the means to do so. Caleb was a decent guy, working for a decent company and had a decent salary.

Caleb's love life was like something out of a fantasy. It was all going well for him, or so he thought...

Almost half a year after they started dating, Aubrey started showing her true colors. During Caleb's dentist appointment, Aubrey began to nag him for no reason, and she said she made more money than him. Because of that, one of Aubrey's friends named Scarlett) assumed he was poor... This false assumption made Caleb feel embarrassed inside and he wished he could have stood up for himself.

Aubrey didn't want anything to do with Caleb, even though he hadn't done anything to hurt her. After that, she just dumped him.

Despite the twins' remarks, Scarlett stood by Aubrey's claims that Caleb was poor, and even said the twins were stupid for thinking Aubrey should get back together with him....

Her next statement shocked them: "Aubrey had her true love somewhere else"

Honestly, the twins were devastated. Their hearts broke watching Aubrey and Scarlett leave us and Caleb alone at the dentist. They didn't know those two meant a man was only as good as his money in the end.

A day later, Aubrey blocked Caleb on social media, blocked his number, and stood him up on their next, so-called "date". Even though Caleb was devastated when she dumped him, he went to the fancy restaurant where he was supposed to propose, with a few of his co-workers tagging along. But, Aubrey's other friend (I'll call her Vivian) was waiting there with the worst news imaginable.

Vivian said that women always want good genes, while men like Caleb have bad ones. Apparently, Aubrey dumped him because he worked at a low-quality company and had a low salary. Then Vivian pointed out that a lousy guy like him shouldn't marry Aubrey.

Vivian said something that changed Caleb's feelings about Aubrey.

"Aubrey doesn't like poor men like Caleb; she only likes rich men."

Caleb was staggered to hear this, and at the next moment, he ran out the restaurant, wanting to know what Aubrey was doing behind his back. When he finally found her, he walked up to her trying to ask her if she could take him back, but she turned him down with the words, "No thanks".

Caleb knew something was up. But Aubrey had already moved on; she wasn't interested in a poor, lousy guy like him, even though he worked so hard to support her.

Then she said something that was a slap in Caleb's face: "She was already engaged."

And her fiancé (who I'm gonna call Elias) happened to be rich, and he made more money than Caleb.

Aubrey and Elias mocked Caleb's job, stating he should be ashamed of working for such a 'shabby company.' Elias worked at a high-end firm and made $90k a year, which would be more than Caleb would ever make.
