The Perfect World

Introduction

It was a rainy winter morning. The clouds covering the sun as the rain falls heavily on the ground. As I roll over in bed, I noticed that I overslept. Today is final exam day and I am already 15 minutes late. This is my last year in high school. Hi! My name is Moxie Nova Archer. I am a 6-foot 2, 18-year-old girl that loves to sing and dance. I live in a world where we take pills every day to make us see the world as a good place to be. Where everyone is always happy. At exactly 8 o'clock in the morning, every must take their pills at the same time. This morning I forgot to take my pills and I already running late to inspection day. Inspection day is when the government comes to the schools and make sure the kids are taking there pills daily.

As I rushed to get ready, I noticed that the government was coming to the school at 12 o'clock and it is currently 12:30, the school is 15 minutes away. I grabbed all my stuff, checked my uniform to make sure everything was okay, then hopped in the car. The car ride to school was very tragic because I was panicking the whole ride to school. Once I arrived, I hopped out and quickly walked into the building hoping that I do not get caught by the government, but I did. As the 6-foot, hazel eyes bodyguard drags me to the office, I realized that my life is going to change after today. Suddenly, he stops walking then puts me in the office with the other kids who has not been tested yet. As I sat there messing with my thumbs, I heard the fire alarm go off then everyone ran outside to the field. No one has ever interrupted the government test before.

We stood outside for 30 minutes and within those 30 minutes I managed to take the pill. I did not want the government to take me away from my family considering that I must take care of my son Messiah. Messiah is a 1-year-old with hazel eyes and brown hair. It is hard balancing being in school and having a baby at home because Messiah dad is currently deployed in another country taking care of the sick people who had a bad reaction to the pill. As we walked back inside, I went to the office so I can get the test over with. The test has 5 questions within it and if you do not answer 3 out of the 5 questions currently you get sent to the headquarters and will be place in a chamber where your memory will be erased forever, and you must restart your life all over again. There was one person at school who got sent to headquarters and she did not remember anything, and that person was my best friend, Ciara. Ciara and I have been friends since we were 5 then all sudden, she failed and got sent to headquarters. Once the test was over, the lady announced to me that I have answered all 5 questions correctly then told me to be dismissed back home.

Once I arrived home, I walked into the house then walked straight to my room. Messiah is currently at mom house who lives 5 minutes away from me. My mom keeps Messiah during the weekdays, and I get him during the weekends. It was only 5 oclock and I was not feeling too good, so I decided to take a hot shower and take a nap after. I am guessing that my body is not having a good reaction to the medicine. I got into bed, turned the television on then closed my eyes until I was fast asleep. As a few minutes go by, I heard a knock on the front door. I slowly got out of bed and walked to the front door. I opened it to see Nixon which Messiah dad is standing there looking at me. I gave him a firm hug and a kiss on the lips then welcomes him into the house. I was honestly surprised that he was home this early usually he stays gone for months at a time. As Nixon hops in the shower, I noticed a glowing light coming from his bag. At first, I did not want to look but I was very intrigued to see what it is. I grabbed the tube and looked at the writing on it, it was the cure for the pills. When I heard his footsteps, I put the tube back into his bag and quickly walked into the bedroom. Nixon joined me in bed then we cuddle until we both fall asleep.
