Pov Keiya/ me

I was born in the US, but due to family issues, my mom and I moved to Jamaica, her homeland, for a year. Later, she secured a job in Japan, prompting another move. My mom picked up Japanese, taught it to me, and also improved my English. After settling in, I asked her if we could visit the park, and she agreed. That's where I encountered Bakugo and Izuku. At the swings, I noticed a boy with green hair and thought he looked cool, so I approached to greet him. "Hello, my name is Keiya, what's yours?" He turned and replied, "Hi, I'm Izuku Midoriya, and that's my friend Kacchan," pointing to a blond boy with fiery crimson eyes. Izuku and I walked over, I said hello, and we all played together. Our mothers became friends too. We spent a lot of time together, and even when my mom and I traveled to Jamaica or the US, we kept in constant contact.

A year and a few months have passed. Today is Izuku's birthday, July 15th. Bakugo's birthday was four months earlier, in April. Both Kachan and Izu are now four years old, and Kachan has developed an amazing quirk; he can create explosions with his hands. My birthday isn't until December, so I have a bit of a wait, but I'm really looking forward to it.

We had a birthday party for Izu, and it was so much fun, next day they went to the clinic to go and check if he had a quirk. It had been hours sense we saw him and aunty Inko Then I see a car drive in the parking garage and Izu come out of the car. I ran out the door to go see him. When I saw Izu, he was sad, so I went to go give him a hug, but he didn't want one and that made me sad. So, I when back home.

Two days later, we went to daycare, and I discovered he hadn't developed a quirk. 'That's why he was really sad yesterday.' Suddenly, Kachan started being mean to Izu, and I intervened, asking, "Why are you being mean, Kachan?" puffing up my cheeks.

"Because Deku is a useless nobody without a quirk, he can't be a hero," he said, sparks flying from his hand, and I was so angry I almost hit him. After daycare, I went to see if Izuku was okay because everyone was mocking him. "Hey, Izuku, are you okay? They were making fun of you, and even Kachan was being mean. I thought they were nice," I said. It made me really sad to see Kacchan being mean to Izuku; I had looked up to him.

"Do you believe him too, that I can't be a hero?" Izu asks me, his eyes brimming with tears. "No, I think you're going to be the greatest hero, like the one mom read to me in a comic book. He's called Batman. He doesn't have a quirk, but he's super cool. It was a pre-quirk story," I tell him. That makes Izu smile and seeing him smile makes me happy.

A few days before my birthday, some strange things began to happen. First, I thought about going to the park and suddenly, I was there. Luckily, it wasn't far from home, so I could walk back. Then, I started hearing my mom say things without her actually speaking. On my birthday, the house was filled with people and the noise was overwhelming. I couldn't figure out how to lessen it, and covering my ears didn't help. "Hey mama, can I go upstairs?" I asked in English. She nodded, and I went. The following day, we visited the clinic to have my quirk examined, and discovered I had telepathic abilities and could teleport. It's been around 9 or 10 years since I last saw Izuku and Bakugo. We've kept in touch, and I've developed a crush on both of them, but I'm keeping that to myself to avoid any awkwardness.

Pov Izuku

It's been a long time since I last saw Kei; she's currently in Jamaica. Kacchan and I have just started high school, and I've received a quirk from All Might. Kei frequently calls, and she remains in contact with Kacchan. I hope she's doing well. She now has an older brother who is really cool but quite overprotective, especially around Kacchan because of his foul language. I'm excited to see her; she's coming alone to stay at my house for the entire school year. I can't wait! However, I'm worried she might discover my quirk since she has the ability to read minds.
