It's another sunny day as the next Prime Minister is making his last tour of the city before his oath the next Monday morning. He's at his college where he studied during his student days. He was giving a speech to motivate young minds. He continues as he tells everyone, "My journey as the youngest PM of this big democratic nation of India wasn't easy. As many of here you sit here, I was also once, one of you sitting between you. But against popular belief, I was a backbencher. Inspired by the words of great APJ Abdul Kalam, I was the backbencher. Tiwari sir knows well about how notorious I was as one."As he nods seeing toward his former class teacher turned Principal.
While this continues, his security detail is under the capable hands of IPS John D'Souza. Former ACP of Delhi and Mumbai Police who closely worked with ATS and TASC to make sure that terrorists stay as far as possible from this country. Even though one of the best, this new job wasn't something he asked for but rather appointed due to his way of being truthful and his hatred towards corruption which wasn't appreciated by many. He was thinking of an early retirement rather than torture before the young PM decided to appoint him personally. It was fate or destiny no one knows, but his prime point in the manifesto that gave him this win was his fight against Corruption and Police Brutality.
As he wraps his speech by saying, "Today I stand in front of you, not as the next PM but rather a servant to my motherland and family of 1.35 billion Indians. I promise you, the future of the nation that I'll give you a country that you'll be proud of."As waves, he is immediately covered by John D'Souza as everyone gives him a loud standing ovation.
He makes his way towards his car alongside John saying, "Weren't you an alumnus at the same college as well." To which John replies, "Yes Sir, I was three batches senior to you. I remember from my days that you were pretty popular back then too."PM laughs and says, "And I remember you as the senior popular with the ladies."
Back at the hotel, John removes his suit and gun, places them on the side table, and takes his pills. Even thou he has an image of a tough, no-nonsense police officer, his age and several rough bouts have taken a toll on him. While the physical pain is gone, mental pain still exists, and these pills are more like candy for him now. It was one of the reasons why he got transferred on allegations of him being a pain medication addict. He goes to the washroom and splashes water on his face, as he sees the scar on his face covered by his big black and pepper beard. All the scars from near-death experiences, while always asking the same question to his reflection was it worth it?
As he stands there, he suddenly hears a gunshot and runs toward his room of PM with his gun in his pants. As he takes position, and carefully moves towards the room, he sees that the gate is open and his bodyguard is down. He calls for backup, moves inside the room, and finds PM dead. It was a direct headshot. Suddenly, the backup arrives and he announces, PM is dead, I repeat, PM is dead.
As he sits down to make sense of how it all happened, Clive D'Souza barges inside the room and says, "Officer John D'Souza, you're under arrest for the murder of the PM of India."As he looks surprised at Clive and asks, "Are you an idiot, Clive? Do you know what you're saying?"
He replies, "The bullet found was fired from your gun, while one of the guards outside the room also says he saw you, when confronted you, shot him."
"How's that possible? I was in my room when all this happened. When I reached here, guards and PM were already dead."He screams as he's being handcuffed. He says, "Clive, what are you doing?" As he looks towards his son, who has long lost his right of calling him son when he moved out on his mother and him. Even thou Clive respected him, like his father, he was also a tough nut who didn't play games. He says, "Save it, Dad. I'm just doing my job. If you've anything to say, say it in the court."
