Chapter 44: My three days with you (Part 4)

Argentum has returned and bought the foods that Lena asked for.

As a caution, Neoteros hide when other people came into the room from the lesson when they encountered Roan.

Lena slept and woke up early, around 6 a.m.

Suddenly, Argentum called Lena's name.

"Lena? Miss Lena? Are you awake? May I open the curtain?" Argentum asked for permission to see Lena.

"Go ahead. What is it Argentum?" Lena asked still laying on the bed with a hint of redness on her cheek and forehead since she is sick. She looks at Argentum who looks undecided.

"Umm, there's someone outside the door..." Argentum said with a bit of hesitancy.

"Is there something wrong with it?" Lena asked as she sits up on her bed, confused.

"I-its... Cereus..." Argentum said.

Cereus?? Lena thought, still confused.

"Why don't you invite her in? From your reaction, it seems, she's been waiting outside for a while. She might be shy knocking herself" Actually, I know that she's quite a shy type, so, it's better to take initiative to talk to her, Lena thought.

Lena takes a glass of water and drinks some to quench her thirst.

"I already invite her. Umm, actually, she has been waiting around 5 a.m." Lena was shocked making her coughed the small water that she is drinking.

Isn't that too much shyness??? Lena thought to herself.

Argentum was shocked by Lena's reaction and immediately take out a handkerchief to wipe Lena's mouth and the water she coughed.

Lena thanks Argentum but return immediately from her shock.

"What!?"

"Yes, Lena. I tried saying to her to come back later but she would just pretend on going back, then go back and wait at the front door or sit on the benches. I tried inviting her in since she has been waiting for a while, but she won't go in, saying that she will just wait for you to wake up." Argentum said with guilt on his face.

"Is that so? It's ok Argentum, it's not your fault. Why don't you invite her back? Say to her that I'm awake right now" Lena said as she smile with a worried face.

Argentum nodded and goes to the door where the child is standing bare-footed in front of the door.

"I-I'm sorry, I won't bother you. I'll just wait until miss angel is awake." Lena heard what Cereus said and feel embarrassed by the nickname that the child gave.

Lena decided to stand up and support herself by holding at the pole of the curtains.

"I'm already awake so why don't you come in?"

"Miss angel!" Cereus runs to Lena and hugged her waist tight.

Lena who heard the cringe name was pierced through her heart with embarrassment but seeing her delightful smile, she didn't say anything about it.

Lena pats her head.

"Cereus, I'm glad you visited me, but is there something you need? It's quite early too."

"No, I-I just wanted to visit you and all..." Cereus said as her voice got smaller with shyness.

"Have you already eaten breakfast? Why don't you join me together with Arg- uhh- Lyle?" Lena corrected her calling towards Argentum as she remembered last night's conversation.
