SATURDAY

SEPTEMBER 4TH

The first thing I realized when I felt myself slowly regain consciousness the following morning was how warm the entire room felt. Apparently it was rare for most homes in England to have any form of air conditioning, but lucky for me the Greyson's didn't fall into the 'average English lifestyle' therefore every room in the manor besides the top floor held both a heater and air conditioning unit.

Obviously I had forgotten to turn mine on last night before I fell into the mattress that felt like clouds, and now my texan skin was definitely feeling the thin layer of sweat that was clinging to both my pale freckled skin and the silky sheets I laid on.

Not having the energy to do much more than kick off the white comforter allowing any chill circling the room to run across my bare legs, I groan, blowing some of the loose strands of hair out of my eyelashes and reach for my phone I had thankfully remembered to plug in last night.

Almost 10:30AM, I mentally applaud myself for actually waking up before noon without an alarm, which was incredibly out of character for me even apart from the jet lag. Quickly realizing I now only have an hour and a half to make myself look presentable enough to go out with Aurora, god knows what she has planned for our girls day.

No new notifications. Great, not even a hint from Aurora about what I should wear for today. When she slipped her number into my phone last night and called so she'd have mine I fully expected to receive an itinerary, apparently not.

Thanking my past tipsy self from last night for showering I slowly force my body to sit up and swing my legs over the side of the bed. After allowing my head to spin for a solid minute I make my way towards the bathroom, one glance in the mirror I know it's definitely going to be a makeup day, jet lag was making itself at home in the bags under my blue eyes.

Turning on the tap water I thoroughly brush my teeth while mentaly planning what sort of outfit would be suitable for the unknown day. I don't even want to think of what I'm going to wear to the club tonight, the only thing more mysterious than Aurora's girl day is the club three young, fit, and cocky men own.

After brushing my teeth and putting the brush back into its holder I quickly washed my face, ridding it of the uncomfortable layer of sweat, I really needed to turn on the air conditioning so I wouldn't die from heat. Deciding that needed to be done before I can continue getting ready I exit the bathroom and walk towards the adorable green couch that has easily become my favorite piece of furniture in my room.

On the wall next to the couch is the air con and heating digital control panel, after only 5 minutes of trying to figure out how to turn the air on and not the heater I finally felt the cool breeze and a soft hum coming from the air vents around the room.

Before walking back into the bathroom to finally sort out the mess I call my hair I stopped by my bed to unplug and check my phone, still no messages I think to myself grumpily, obviously I'm on my own with picking an outfit. After a quick look on the weather app and seeing the forecast is a lovely 65 degrees all day I decide on my favorite pair of black jean shorts, followed by me digging through my massive suitcase for the most comfortable black ribbed tank top I've ever owned. God I missed Target.
