Keeping up with my feelings

Chapter: 18 "Weird Feeling"

Its the last two weeks of college. Today we will know if we've passed our subjects most especially our Thesis.. The grades will be out in an hour at the registars office. So while we wait, we decided to go get some drink from Starbucks.

We ordered for our drinks, paid for it and claimed it then we all agreed to stay for awhile. So we sat down then talked about random things...

"Girls, after graduation who's gonna work right away?" Issa asked.

Well everybody wants to work right away except for me, I guess...

"Im thinking of taking a break first, maybe for a month then will look for a job." I explained.

"Does your Mom know about your plan after graduation?" Issa asked.

"Well, not yet. Haven't had a chance to sit down with them since the thesis days... Maybe tonight." I answered.

"Uhm, about you girls. Are you going to look for a job inline with our degree?" I asked.

"Yeah! I am!" Betina replied.

"Me too!" Ella uttered.

"Why you asked? Aren't you?" Issa asked.

"Well, thinking of putting up my own business and manage it myself." I replied.

"What business?" Ella asked.

"Well, Im thinking of three choices. A daycare center which will somehow be inline with our degree or Events Coordination which is my dream job and or will be franchising a fast food restaurant. Any of the three. That's why I want to take a month break so that I would know which one I really want." I explained.

"That's a great idea, Patty!" Issa said.

"Does Vince know your plans as well?" Betina asked.

"He'll know soon now that I have more time for him again." I replied.

"Girls, I think we can go back now to the campus." Betina said and double checked her watch.

We checked our own watches and yeah its time to be heading back. So we walked back to school and....

"Whoa! There's a long line by the registar's office." I said.

So we lined up and waited for our turn. The turn over of the line is quite fast and in less than 20 minutes were almost next in line.
We got our grades and results... All at the same time opened our transcript of records and..... Seems all of us are smiling with joy which means we passed college!!!! Then theres one more to think about, inside the envelope theres a letter which will state if your cleared or not with other recquirements..

"Congratulations! See you on your graduation day!" As I read what's written on the letter.

"We are sorry to tell you that you need to complete your recquirements. Please see your designated registar officer to inquire about the deficiency." Betina read hers.

"Try to find out why today so that on Monday you'll be able to complete it already." I uttered.

"Good idea!" Betina replied.

Betina right away went back to the registar office and looked for the officer-in-charge. After 10 minutes, she's back.

"What was it?" Ella asked.

"Just forgot to return a book at the library." She replied.

"Seriously? That's it? And they gave you that kind of letter!" Issa uttered.

"So nothing to worry too much about. Good!" I said.

"So who's up for a movie?" Ella uttered.

"How about singing? Ktv bar?" Betina asked.
