I will never forget yesterday. I will never forget how helpless Gerard was at gunpoint, and how quickly his life ended. I will never forget seeing him, surrounded in blood, lifeless on the ground. And I will never forgive the masked man.
I didn't even know Gerard personally. But it doesn't really change anything.
For the rest of yesterday, the four of us mostly sat in silence in our room. I went to bed around eight; I wanted to sleep as soon as possible.
Kiari had woken me up way too early, like usual.
"Emilia, I know that you're still in slight shock, but we must get a move on. Lucifer has mentioned that we have people following us." She said.
"Oh yeah, huh. I almost forgot..." I mumbled through a yawn. As usual, I grabbed my now clean clothes and headed towards the bathroom, but stopped when I heard the shower already on. Lucifer must have beat me to it.
"Lucifer's in here?" I asked.
"Yes." Kiari said, brushing her hair.
"You can show with me if you want, sweetheart." I heard Lucifer say from the shower.
"Shut up, imbecile! Annoying pervert, I'm going to punish you by calling you Luci!" I shouted, my face flushed red with anger. I really hate him, he can make me mad faster than flicking a switch.
"What? No! I'll sound like a girl!" He whined.
"Too bad." I muttered in reply. The shower turned off immediately, and Lucifer walked out, wearing only a towel. That dark blue hair of his looked flat and lifeless, as if the water glued his hair to his head.
"Luci, put some clothes on!" I shouted, my face becoming even more flushed with anger.
"Stop calling me Luci, or I take the towel off, sweetheart." Lucifer said with a devious smirk.
"I can close my eyes." I squeezed my eyes shut, receiving a sigh from Lucifer.
"Whatever." He grumbled. I heard the bathroom door slam shut, but I didn't open my eyes.
"Is he really in the bathroom?"
"Yes, Emilia, Lucifer has gone to the bathroom to put on clothing." I heard Kiari say.
I opened my eyes, thankful that he was actually in the bathroom. Now, I just need him to hurry up so I can get in the shower...
Lucifer sulked out the bathroom, grumbling incoherently.
"Thanks for finally letting me take a shower, Luci." I said with a smirk as I walked towards the bathroom. Finally, a chance to get back at him!
"Shut up!" He shouted. "We've officially switched places in this argument, but that's only for now, sweetheart."
I ignored his remark. If I showed that I was mad at him for calling me sweetheart, I'd be the one shouting again. I plan on keeping the upper hand, but not the way Lucifer did. I still have to be calm, collected, and mature.
I took a quick shower, only washing my hair. I got outand towel dried my hair before getting dressed. Once I had brushed my hair and put my clothes in my bag, I walked out to the main room.
"I'm ready to go." I said quietly.
"Let us continue our journey, then. Next stop, Beach Town. Home of the third gym leader, Silver." Kiari said.
We're not going to be able to save gym leaders if Emilia and Lucifer are always fighting. Satsugai said, stroking the Xatu communicating to us for her.
"It's his fault..." I grumbled.
"It's not completely my fault!" Lucifer said angrily. "You're also at fault, sweetheart."
"Don't..." I sighed. "Never mind."
"Good job, Emilia. Now, let us go." Kiari said.
"How come we never get breakfast?" Lucifer groaned. "My stomach is growling more than an angry Stoutland..."
"You can eat when we arrive at Beach Town, Lucifer." Kiari answered sternly, walking out of our room. I followed her outside, trying to avoid looking at the gym. I've never been good with blood or death.
Kiari led us out of the town swiftly, while Satsugai remained in the back to make sure no one fell behind.
We kept a swift pace, even though Beach Town was only a mile or two away.
"There she is!" I turned towards the trees, where I heard the voice, to see Team Ore grunts running towards us.
"Run!" I shouted on instinct. Everyone listened to me, but the grunts were faster. They grabbed Satsugai and her Xatu, then dashed off.
Help! Her Xatu shouted. I ran after them, but a few grunts blocked my way.
"Emilia, do your job, don't make this hard on you..." One grunt whispered in my ear.
"Is she going to die, or be put in any harm?" I asked.
"No, I swear." The other grunt answered quietly. I sighed-by now the grunts would be to far away to catch up to... I turned around and sulked back to the other two.
"... You were not able to save Satsugai...?" Kiari whispered.
"No, sorry... The grunts held me back, but they promised that she wouldn't be physically harmed." I apologised, trying to soften the blow.
"Oh, okay, valiant hero..." Liars said, keeping her eyes on the ground.
"Well, all we can really do is head to Beach Town, I guess..." I mumbled. Jairo nodded sadly whilst Lucifer remained sadly.
Should I have struggled harder to get out of the grunts' grasps? Was it my fault we didn't save her? I broke into a run towards Beach Town. Of course it was my fault; I failed them.
I heard Lucifer shout once or twice for me to come back, but Kiari did nothing.
It's all my fault...
I entered Beach Town and bolted towards the East side of town towards the Pokemon Centre.
"Room for one, please. And don't let anyone visit me. If someone asks for an Emilia Blade, tell them I never checked in." I said, putting fifty pokedollars on the counter.
"Oh, okay..." Nurse Joy mumbled, slightly confused. She handed me a key for room 309, so I ran up the stairs on the left side. My room was the fifth on the left. I ran in and jumped onto the bed, burying my face into the pillow.
If I had actually struggled against the grunts, Satsugai would be here. Kiari wouldn't be in shock that her friend's gone. Matters wouldn't be even worse. Yes, it's my fault...
I usually mentally blame myself most of the time, but this time it's really my fault. Lucifer and Kiari didn't do anything because they expected me to save her. I'm supposed to be Kiari's valiant hero, aren't I?
I'm not a hero.

Oh, this chapter is kind of short. Oh well. As I'm typing this on April 25, 2015, I'm almost at 1k reads! That's just amazing, because yesterday I was at 700 reads! Thank you~!
What do you think they're gonna do to Satsugai? (BUDDEH, you can't answer because you know) and do you think the two grunts lied to Emilia? OuO
Any constructive criticism is welcome! Have a nice day!
